PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE AND PASS IT ON TO YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY. IT CAME FROM THE CRIME PREVENTION OFFICER OF THE ESSEX CONSTABULARY - BE CAREFUL AND BE SAFE ! Sad, especially if you are inclined to 'help' people... While driving on a rural end of the roadway on Thursday morning, I saw an infant carseat on the side of the road with a blanket draped over it. For whatever reason, I did not stop, even though I had all kinds of thoughts running through my head. But when I got to my destination, I called the Police and they were going to check it out. But, this …

It is a myth that dogs are color blind. They can actually see in color, just not as vividly as humans. It is akin to our vision at dusk. Dogs DO have better low-light vision than humans because of a special light-reflecting layer behind their retinas A German Shepherd guide dog led her blind companion the entire 2100 mile Applachian Trail If never spayed or neutered, a female dog, her mate, and their puppies could product over 66,000 dogs in 6 years! Dogs' only sweat glands are between their paw pads Like human babies, Chihuahuas are born with a soft spot in their skull which closes with age The breed Lundehune has 6 toes and can close its ears Teddy Roosevelt's dog, Pet…

THIS IS the hero Rottweiler who stopped a sex attacker in his tracks during a sinister assault on Hearsall Common in Coventry. Two-year-old Jake, who is a Rottweiler cross, darted off from his owner Liz Maxted-Bluck and into woodland near the common after hearing shouting and screaming. There he bounded towards Esmahil Adhami, as he preyed on his victim, and chased him off. The dog, who has since been praised by the sentencing judge, then remained at the scene, guarding the victim until the police arrived at the scene. read more here: http://www.coventrytelegraph.net/news/coventry-news/2010/03/15/dog-owner-tells-of-he…

Just heard on ITV news that a puppy farm in south wales has succefully been prosecuted! The report said the woman has recieved a £3000 fine and a ban on keeping animals for a year, they havnt even removed the dogs she has just set her a letter "asking" her to give them to the RSPCA to be rehomed!!!! The report actually spoke to the vet that had seen some of the dogs and he said its utterly rediculous because all shes going to do is give the dogs to family and friends for a year then get them back and carry on and she'll get about £3000 for some of her litters anyway as she sells them all over the country to large chains! Now while I find…

A man and two women who allowed their dogs to roam freely along Manchester streets have been ordered to pay a total of nearly £1,800. All three were prosecuted in their absence after failing to turn up to hearings at Manchester Magistrates' Court on Wednesday August 11. In all three cases, Manchester City Council officers spotted the dogs, but the defendants were all given the option of paying fixed penalty notices, which would have cost them just £80 - or just £50 if they paid within the first 10 days. Jane Roberts, of Ilminster Walk in Higher Blackley, was fined £100 with £484.05 costs and a £15 victims of crime surcha…
