KERNOWHUSKIES
Im so so sorry to hear this. My thoughts are with you at this hard time. Some times accidents happen and its just one of those things. It could happen to anyone. This poem has brought me comfort in the past, i hope in some way it may be able to help you. Do not stand at my grave and weep I am not there; I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glints on snow, I am the sun on ripened grain, I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the morning's hush I am the swift uplifting rush Of quiet birds in circling flight. I am the soft starlight at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there; I did not die. x Thanks 4 this, it was read at my dads funeral a few months ago. Made me smile n cry at the same time x

jayjay060708
Thought you might like this poem :-) I found it online when my dog Mr. Bogus had to be put to sleep. just click on this link! poem Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.... Author unknown... Also did you know that the Chukchi believed that their dogs (siberian huskies) guarded the gates of heaven, and that the way you treated a dog in this life determined your place in heaven. If this is so then surely when time comes for us to pass we will be assured of a place of great honor. They also beleived that your husky would wait for you out side the gates of heaven and pulled you through the gates on a sled when it was your turn to come. I am very sorry about Ice. Andy
Welcome Back, Ravinder Another Husky will not replace Ice, Just as another Dog will ever replace "Bear" for us. However another Husky is just as deserving of your love now that you can give it. We now have Daughtry (used to be Koda) and we have rehomed Darwin. and they have helped fill the hole in our hearts. Val (Zebedee)
Welcome home, Ravinder, so good to see you back here again. We're all here if you feel like a rant. One day, when you are both ready, you can get a new pack member who will be just as funny & loving & crazy as Ice, but don't compare the new one to Ice, after all, no two people are the same, xxxx
