Scotland Yard are investigating claims that Jill Dando was killed by a Serbian gunman Several witnesses have come forward saying they heard a West Midlands criminal of Serbian descent boast he shot the TV presenter. During a drinking session in Belgrade he said her murder was an act of revenge for the bombing of the city by Nato in 1999, it is reported. A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said: "After the trial we said any new lines of inquiry that are generated we will look at. We are not commenting on specific lines of inquiry." Miss Dando, 37, was shot once in the head outside her home in Fulham, south west London, on Apr…

Simon Cowell being Frozen Working in the music industry can do very strange things to the mind. All consuming ego-mania, for example. Take Michael Jackson, who likes to celebrate the release of a new album not with a smart and simple ad campaign but by floating a 100ft statue of himself down the Thames and chooses names such as Prince Michael for his children. However, Simon Cowell, British pop's own living Godhead, looks set to outdo Wacko after unveiling plans to have his body frozen when he dies. The "X-Factor", "Britain's Got Talent" and "American Idol" international supremo announced the dumfounding news recently during an audience with Gordon Brown a…

A bomb explosion in Cairo has killed a French tourist and injured more than 20 other people, mostly foreign tourists. It happened at an open-air hotel cafe packed with tourists in the Khan al-Khalili area - a major attraction and home to a prominent mosque. The device, most likely home-made, was thrown from a balcony, Egyptian police said. Conflicting reports say the bomb may have been left under a bench. The tourist killed was identified as a 17-year-old girl by French authorities. There has been no indication so far of who is behind the attack, and no arrests have yet been confirmed. 'Devastating effect' …

from Yahoo news.......................... Dancing On Ice's Jason Gardiner says he will quit the show if Kerry Katona signs up for the next series. The acid-tongued judge branded Kerry 'pond life' after it was revealed that she is keen to take part in the programme. He told The Sun: "We've had some rude and very annoying people on the show but Kerry would sink us to an all new low. "We should be aiming for someone like Victoria Beckham, not Kerry at the other end of the scale." Oh, come on Jason - lighten up! Is there anyone who wouldn't love to see Kerry getting her skates on and gliding around the ice to Atomic Kitte…

A PERVY burglar broke into an adult shop three times to have sex with blow-up dolls. The 23-year-old raider smashed his way into the store, then dumped the dolls in an alley once he had finished with them. The man, who has not been named by cops, was arrested yesterday at his home in Cairns, Australia. He is due to appear in court next month charged with burglary and has been freed on bail.

I'm in the process of renewing my passport, and still cannot believe this. How is it that K-Mart has my address and telephone number, and knows that I bought a Television Set and Golf Clubs from them back in 1997, and yet, the Federal Government is still asking me where I was born and on what date. For Christ sakes, do you guys do this by hand? My birth date you have in my Medicare information, and it is on all the income tax forms I've filed for the past 40 years. It is on my driver's licence, on the last eight passports I've ever had, on all those stupid customs declaration forms I've had to fill out before being allowed off the planes o…

A baby boy has died after what is believed to be an attack by two family dogs. Neighbours said three-and-a-half-month-old Jaden Mack was staying with his grandmother at the time. Gwent Police say Jaden was taken in the early hours from the house in Ystrad Mynach, Caerphilly county, to hospital, where he was declared dead. A Jack Russell and Staffordshire bull terrier are believed to have caused the injuries, and they have been put down. Found the story to go with the website address I posted on here the other day. Really inspiring story! From Your Dog magazine (November / Decmeber). A Ray of Light for Older Dogs in Rescue Centres If you have adopted or looked into adopting a dog, you may have found that everyone always ‘crowds’ around the young dogs and puppies and bypassed the older dogs, who if any are in more need of having a happy home. Unfortunately, this is the hard truth and the all too familiar scenario hat workers and volunteers at rescue centres face on a day to day basis. It is a very sad fact of life that people will generally look at adopting a younger, bou…

A US woman has given birth to eight babies, becoming just the second person recorded in the US to have delivered a set of living octuplets. The six boys and two girls were delivered by caesarean section in Los Angeles, California. The babies, who weighed in at between 1.8lbs (820g) and 3.4lbs each, are all said to be doing well. They were screaming and kicking around very vigorously, according to a doctor at the hospital in suburban Bellflower. The mother, whose identity has not been revealed, has asked that limited information be released about the births. A hospital spokeswoman described the deliveries, which took p…
