He just turned 1 in September. The vet is already hesitant about him being on the phenobarbital because it slowly eats at the liver, so I dont know if she would go for a higher dosage, especially since he is on other meds to help regulate the rest of his issues. When I give him his meds he becomes a completely different dog and acts out a lot. We have been trying to push through this but it is just breaking my heart to see. Every time I leave the house I feel like something bad is going to happen, I have become almost housebound other than going to work. The anxiety is eating at me and I

It has become a constant aggression and I have tried different forms of discipline but it seems to be doing no good. After ever seizure he seems less like himself, even after he comes out of the haze. I appreciate your kind words...they mean a lot to me.

Hey everyone.. Walker had another seizure this morning at 2 am. I gave him his emergency diazepam and he came out of it in the typical way, the pacing and whining. He didnt sleep but cried instead all night, I held him and he got a small amount of sleep. He is at my moms today for supervision on his behavior today. This seizure seemed different, it was much more violent than the others before. The vet said that he would have seizures for the rest of his life, and I dont know if I can put him/myself through it. It absolutely breaks my heart every time he has one. After walkers recent

Friday the 13th, Walker had three seizures. One at 1 am, one at 11 and one at 3. The morning began early. asleep in bed i begin to hear a slamming sound against my door. I get up and realize walker is having a seizure. Because walker has only ever had one seizure before, he is not on medication for it yet. But, i got him all cleaned up. Lasted about a minute and a half. Extremely scary for the both of us. I stayed home from work and made sure we would see the vet immediately. We got in at 9 am. The vet diagnosed him with epilepsy and gave me a prescription for phenobarbital for his seizures.

Recently Walker had a seize and so I took him into a well recommended vet in the area i just moved to. My mother, aunt, and cousins take their pets here so I figured we would give it a try. I told him about the seizure and how this past weekend walker started throwing up everything he ate and he was unable to poo for about four days straight. He did blood work and some other tests and told me everything was clear, except that he has a start of a UTI. So he gave me antibiotics to help walker and sent me out. Well, Walker got worse, he started acting weird and throwing up more. HE stopped eating
