My wife and I got Kaiya (like hi-ya but with a K) at 8 weeks old when we had never considered owning a husky before. When we decided we wanted a dog, my wife was doing a lot of walking with a girl down the street that had 3 huskies and was also a dog trainer, that pretty much sealed the deal. Now that we've had Kaiya for a couple months, I don't think we could consider any other breed! She is the center of all our attention and completely owns us and now we are starting to think about our second! Did somebody say something about the "potato chip of dogs"? Well more questions to come on getting our second, as we will be looking for some suggestions on how to approach adding another husky to the family. In any event, Kaiya turns four months old on Monday. She has made it through beginner obedience class and is doing pretty good with her training... when he wants to of course. She also loves to walk and play with the 3 "big" huskies down the street. We are convinced she knows one of them is her older brother from a previous litter. Her markings are really starting to evolve. She still has her mask, but her sides are getting really light now and she has a dark black "racing stripe" down her back. lol.
