Hi everyone,

We researched the Siberian Husky for ages and went to visit a very nice breeder locally who had a litter of puppies (all taken) and seven adults. We wanted to see how they actually behaved and interacted with us and each other as reading only gives you so much information.

When we got there one puppy had become available and the wife could not resist! A couple of weeks later we went back to collect her. She is great, mostly white when we got her but now a mixture of black, silver, white and brown.

She has been hard work, aren't all puppies? but also so much fun. She has so much character and bundles of energy. She flew through the puppy training classes, has loads of fun on Cannock Chase, mooches round the garden, meets and greets in the town centre, bounds around the beach and swims in the sea (recent trip to Bude) and has now become a Siberian Mudski (see photo).

She loves sleeping on the kitchen floor, just right in the highest trafficed area! Crate training is going well, hated it to start with but in an evening will have no hesitation in going to the crate by herself.

I have posted a few photo's...One from the day we had her, one from a few weeks later, one from two weeks ago and one from the weekend.

Her name is Skye in honour of the fabulous breeder we got her from (SiberiaSkye). From reading, it appears to be a pretty common name for a Husky!

I have 200+ photo's store in my Dropbox account.

The link to the shared folder is:

Skye Originals

Have fun browsing, these are all my large images so they may take awhile to download.

Hi Rob and Skye! Welcome. Skye is beautiful. Pics are great. You'll find this forum is chock full of pictureholics. Aside from that infirmity, everyone is so gracious and helpful. I think you'll enjoy visiting this site on a regular basis and sharing. I know I do. Again, welcome to the pack!

Hi and welcome to the pack !!

I just adore you pics!!

We have a few meet ups near you every so often - you'll have to join us on them it's a great way to socialise them as well - huskies seem to act differently around their own kind - that's my experience anyway and so nice to see so may of them all together :)

Thanks for the comments. My favourite pictures are the Mudsky, plant pot and beach photo's. Mudsky was taken on Cannock Chase at the weekend. We were attempting to avoid all the mud, but Skye had other ideas and ran and pounced right in there then stuck her nozzy right in there just for good measure.

To those who come to Cannock Chase, I look forward to meeting up sometime. Skye just loves to play with other dogs, most just don't seem to get her style of play though :( and there owners disappear off into the distance.

We saw some signs up around Birches Valley visitors centre the other day notifying of husky training / races. I found your site while looking for more info. While we have no intention (yet?) of racing her we were still interested in meeting fellow Sibe owners. We were going to pop over there this Sunday to have a mooch.

Hiya Rob we had a meet up at Cannock Chase a few weeks ago - shame you missed that!

We also regulary go over Cannock Chase, as we only live in brownhills. Couldnt go this weekend as the kids had a judo competition, but hopefully we will be over there next sunday around 10am (Birches Valley)!

As long as its not lashing down with rain, then the camera rarely leaves my side when out and about with the kids and Skye about. The wife likes her photos and its a great diary of how people and dogs change over time.

Photo's will get posted aswell.
