It's a generic title, Like "Hoover" is a generic name for the Vaccuum cleaner, and "Google" for the search engine. So "Photoshop" has become the generic term for Graphics manipulating programs such as GIMP, Paint or Corel Painter etc. Use whatever you like as long as you have a go and create some fun, stunning new images. (just google free Photo montage software) I'm not going to recommend any one in particular as they work in different ways and will give different results.
