Tasha
Hi, My name is Vicki. I have two dogs. Mugs is a husky mix (?) that was a stray on an Indian reservation that I rescued in the summer of 2007. He is now about two (we thing). He has turned into a wonderful dog. Very obedient and sweet. Last Friday, we picked up our first husky. She is 8 weeks old. So far, she is doing great! She has yet to have an accident in the house, I have taught her sit, and she is adapting really well, although she is a little hellion at times! She seems to be starting to understand recall and is very social. We are crating her at night for her own safety and our sanity. Last night she slept through most of the night. We live in the mountains of Nevada at about 5000 feet. We have snow on the ground right now, which she really enjoys. I have been walking her for about a mile a day to get her used to leash training and teaching her to heel. So far, she is doing fanatically. We live in a very rural area. Eventually, when she is old enough, I would like to teach her to bicycle and snow mush. My husband and I have just fallen completely in love with her. I am planning on using clicker training with her. Have people had much luck with that and huskies? I am also committed to maintaining that I am the pack leader, which so far is working (granted she is just a baby) I am looking forward to meeting people and picking people's brains for training tips Here some photos of them: This is Mugs when I rescued him: This is him now: And Tasha, our husky puppy:

Sarah
Hi welcome on board, wow he's really come on!! Is Tasha your first husky? Tasha's gorgeous! One question though, if you taking her out and about, has she been vaccinated? At 8 weeks, it may be a bit soon to be taking her out so soon? Would hate something that cute to get poorly xx
