I would say both are about equal. Can also depend on the mother and father's temperaments and the pick of the litter I find. Take Marley and Bandit (both males) for example - Marley is the most dosile and like his mum very relaxed but will stand up for himself if need be and Bandit is the most hyper one and much like his dad and simply full of energy most submissive aswell but again will stand up for himself (not as much as Marley) is he needed to. And Gizmo (Male, from different breeder) is a little of both his parents - he will stand his ground much like his mum and doesnt take no s**t and is most dominant (like his dad) but also quite hyper (like both his parents).

My sister has two girls (Doberman and collie cross spaniel) which again are both very different from other. Holly (doberman) is very much a lady and not really hyper and well trained but Patsy (collie cross spaniel) is like my Bandit and very hyper!

Eika, is the same as her dad...hyper as monkey poop!!! She has her moments when she has loving moments and is more like her mum, but once she starts the crazy run, it doesn't stop...even if she runs into a door(!) she'll just get back up and go again...
