jules dief taz tor
not a clue but for the price i would give it a try , i would assume you have to soak it for a while and because it doesnt dry out for a bit maybe the material keeps it from oin warm ???? Sarah
Maybe it's like on of those wine coolers where they are filled with a special liquid and you have to freeze it before use??

raindog
You'll find that sibes don't suffer from the heat anywhere near as much as many other breeds (especially the smooth-coated ones). The hollow hairs of their outer coats insulate as much against the heat as they do against the cold. The only thing you really have to do is to make sure they always have plenty of fresh water to drink, shade to lie in (although ours tend to sunbathe whenever possible) and remember not to exercise them too much in the hottest part of the day. As some have said - a paddling pool is often popular: Mick

siberian_wolf
Last year we used to give them Ice cubes and even freeze the fresh bones. Once last year we managed to get some water in the kong by placing one end on a plate and placed that in the freezer and gave that to them as well. Also had some small fans by their crate to keep them cool when we were out. Used the hosepipe to wash them over with some water after walks (mostly Gizmo as puppies wasn't going too far on walks). This year we are looking into getting one of those paddling pools for them as well. Ive printed of an article from that site I found yesterday will read through it and pop a post on here.
