All,

For me it has to be this cover of The Monkees " Stepping Stone" live at the 100 Club last Sunday...

It doesn't get better than this - Mick Jones from The Clash,Glen Matlock form The Sex Pistols & Steve Diggle from The Buzzcocks, backed by Buddy Ascot of The Chords.

Better still - I was there....

Even better - I met Mick,Glen,Steve & Buddy and Chris Pope from Pope/The Chords and The Purple Hearts - a bit of history and I was there !:cool:

This is the Punk/Mod Supergroup covering "Should I Stay or Should I Go"

This was all for the brilliant cause of raising money for Terry Rawlings family :)

Cheryl,

It was truely an amazing night and I'm still buzzing from it :)

Here are some more highlights and some from the 19th of July, the first Terry Benefit gig:

I also met Simon Fowler of Ocean Colour Scene, the only people I didn't shake hands with or get autographs from were Mick Amory of The Kinks ( who did the Small Faces "All Or Nothing " with Mick Jones & Glen Matlock) and Ali McKenzie of the Birds.

Paul McEvoy,my best mate, was one of the organisers and I have him to thank for being there...

There are other things going on to raise money for Terry's young daughters - there will be an auction of things from Paul Weller,Pete Townsend,Ronnie Wood etc,and ther will be a DVD of the two Benefit Gigs.

Terry has an operation on Sunday 02/08/09 and everyone is thinking of him and his family and hoping against hope that he will pull through.

Best Always,

Kevin & The Girls

Cheryl,

I'm a proud '79 Mod & always will be till they put me in a box ;)

I was lucky to be feautured in Terry Rawlings " Mod - Clean Living Under Difficult Circumstances" book

I'm the kid on the Vespa GS on p.156 ( although I'm a Lambretta person through and through...) and there is a line of scoots in my Dad's school payground on the inside front cover.

I still have a '67 Lambretta SX200 which you can see here:http://i384.photobucket.com/albums/oo281/Tyr7/pics260.jpg

Back in the day I saw all the bands that counted and used to be on the guest list for Merton Parkas gigs - saw The Jam too many times to remember and had the best of times :)

Keep On Keepin' On ;)
