So sorry to hear about your loss of Kodiak at such a young age R.I.P Kodiak. :rainbowbridge:

Thought I would share this poem as I think its nice.

As much as I loved the life we had and all the times we played,

I was so very tired and knew my time on earth would fade

I saw a wondrous image then of a place that's trouble-free

Where all of us can meet again to spend eternity.

I saw the most beautiful Rainbow, an on the other side

Were meadows rich and beautiful - lush and green and wide

And running through the meadows as far as the eye could see

Were animals of every sort as healthy as could be

My own tired, failing body was fresh and healed and new

And I wanted to go run with them, but I had something left to do

I needed to reach out to you, to tell you I'm alright

That this place is truly wonderful, then a bright glow pierced the night

"Twas the glow of many candles, shining bright and strong and bold

And I knew then that it held your love in it's brilliant shades of gold.

For although we may not be together in the way we used to be

We are still connected by a cord no one can see

So whenever you need to find me, we're never far apart

If you look beyond the Rainbow and listen with your heart

I am so sorry for your loss. I hope you can take comfort in the memories of the good times that you shared in your too-brief time together. I hope, too, that you are comforted by the complete understanding and heartfelt sympathies you will continue to find here on this site. welcome to the family, though I am sorry that it's under such circumstances.

I wish the Rainbow Bridge had a phone so I could hear your bark again. I thought

of you today..but that's nothing new. I thought of you yesterday and the day

before that too. I think of you in silence and often speak your name. All I have

are memories-and pictures in a frame.

“Every time a dog of mine dies, it takes a piece of my heart with it. And each

time I bring in a new dog, it gives me a piece of it’s heart. By the time I die,

I believe my entire heart will be that of a dog’s.â€Â

"It came to me that every time I lose a dog they take a piece of my heart with

them.

And every new dog that comes into my life gifts me a piece of their heart.

If I live long enough, all the components of my heart will be dog

and I will become as generous and loving as they are."- Unknown
