Hi, I came to this site because I have a 3 month old husky/rott mix and I was interested in socializing at the local husky/malamute play days here in Hawaii.

My baby dog's name is Dante, he's a total sweetheart and loves our cats. They tolerate him pretty well, I think he and my boykitty Cole are becoming friends. We're starting Sirius Puppy class next week.

I was pleasantly surprised to see a lot of information that I needed ( on raw diet) while browsing the forums here.

I'm glad I joined and will be popping back in a bit since I've seen how friendly and helpful this group is.

Hiya Sheryn & Dante, welcome to the pack

what a little poser! :D He's gorgeous! And it's great to get him socialised with your cat while he is so young, just pray the husky trait for high prey drive stays hidden ....

Great to see you here, keep having a read of all the info here & if you can't find something - post up & ask ;)

:D

Thank you for the welcomes everyone. Ninooks Mum We're living in Honolulu, I'll add it to the body of my post. :)

Zebedee, I'm hoping Dante won't display his prey drive towards the cats. Right now he really likes spending time with my boycat Cole. They like to sleep on the bathroom tile, they're both doing that now.

Welcome Sheryn & Dante.

You've an interesting cross in Dante - he's a sharp looking boy. Will be interesting to see what characteristics of each breed he'll display. Will def. keep you busy! We have a lab/rott cross who's always been an interesting boy. More pictures of Dante, please!

Hi and welcome. U should be fine with the kitty. Scooby grew up with my cat Tigger... she even used to carry him around in her mouth! Sadly he dissapeared a few yrs ago and i think Scoob missed him. I wouldn't worry. It's when they are introduced later on the probs arise. I moved in with my Mum n Dad a few yrs ago and my poor Nanook is always gettin attacked by the veteran kitty who lives here but Scooby is fine. We have a puppy now who is always with Minnie and although he chases her and yaps etc he has NO nastyness towards her. You will be fine... don't worry xx
