robke
If you are worried about the ends damaging the washing machine put them in a pillowcase that is what I do when washing leads, collars and harness, works like a charm... Stranger
god i so hate it when they get tangled...you take the dogs for an hour run then spend another hour un tangling the leads by then their ready for another walk lol. we put ours in washmachine with a couple of old towels....then hang them in airing cupboard to dry then untangle them x

robke
Why not pre-wash them in a bucket or go to the car wash and rinse them clean with power washer....
