Kech
Has Anyone seen this movie?? My wife and I viewed this the other night and it's a frick'in tear jerker!!!!!! I'm a kind of guy who never cries, but this time I couldn't help it. What's worse is that it's a true story that took place in a small town of Japan... it stars Richard Gere and I strongly recommend this film... flyingspanner
I cried like a baby watching this. To make matters worse, the dog in the movie is the spitting image of the my Akita, Yuko, that was PTS 5 years ago.

Elyse
It's a good movie, isn't it? Also very sad though, made me bawl like a baby, but mostly because I already knew the story was true before I started watching it. I was sad when I read up on Hatchi on the internet, but it's completely different when you actually SEE it happening. I think they have a statue of Hatchi at that train station...I think it was bronze, originally, but then it got stolen so its bronze plated now? Darc-Brittany
Amazing movie, I bawled like a baby watching this one and 8 Below. I can't watch either of them without crying. While watching 8 Below I was shouting at the tv and saying some pretty nasty things, I was upset that they would do that to the dogs D: Horrible people! I would have stayed, I wouldn't have gone. Anyways, yeah, awesome movie. There is a statue in Japan, at the location that Hachi waited everyday for his owner ^^ I think it happened in like 1928, so quite a while ago.
