It sounds like Milo is a bit of a dominating bully - humping Bingo and refusing to leave him alone despite Bingo's warnings. What is Blaze doing when Milo growls at him? It is hard to say for sure without seeing them in real life, but I personally wouldn't socialise my dogs with overly dominant dogs, that cause them to go into avoidance and feel uncomfortable. I would probably be taking a cue from Blaze on this one, he doesn't look comfortable at all in those pictures you posted - does he react like this to any other dogs?

hes not always sumbmissive but he did go on his back when he went 2 sniff alex's GSD i think it was that dog anyway hes not always submissive (he isnt with bingo lol) he has his moments

normally Milo doesnt growl at Blaze yesterday was the 1st time n Blaze has ALWAYS been submissive 2 Milo frm when they 1st started meetin up Milo just usually ignores blaze and hassles Bingo it was the 1st time he growled n went 4 Blaze yesterday

any1 else got any help for me on this ?

she has brought a muzzle for milo so not sure wether 2 meet up on sunday n see how it goes if hes got the muzzle on what do ppl think?

I don't socialise my dogs with dogs outside of our 'circle' of known dogs. If it was me, and this might sound harsh, but I wouldn't socialise my dogs with overly dominant ones like you have described Milo to be like. Muzzling him won't stop him from dominating the other dogs, he can still hump them, push them around etc. I don't let my dogs play with others often but when I do I only allow them around dogs that they enjoy interacting with and show lots of happy, positive body language. Some dogs just don't mesh well together and it sounds like Blaze is quite uncomfortable around Milo judging by his overly submissive, avoiding body language.

hmmm i hate it when dogs hump >> it's rude even in the doggy world. Blaze was being a good boy, submitting to a dog that is bigger and older than him >>> Alaska does this to older males >>but not females, i think Blaze is a very good boy avoiding confrontation, with Alaska when another female growls at her (older or not!) she will attack and i am the one usually rushing over tearing Alaska off the other dog >> and even IF the other dog starts it i am the one apologizing at the end!!! I don't know if your coming to the next meet up in june ..or july? but you'll see what Alaska is like ( i hope she doesn't attack) but you will see how sparky she can be >>> then she can be really submissive and polite!)

The other dog is clearly on a power trip, dogs aged between 1 - 18 months (usually males) think their the boss, their typical male teens, and they will readily assert himself to smaller and younger dogs, as he gets older im sure he will mellow out >> has he been done >> if he hasn't this might be the cause of his dominance

Honestly i think Blaze was being a well socialized dog and the other dog clearly has no manners, growling at younger pups when they get too annoying is normal, but the humping and the attacking are behavior problems the owners should sort out instead of putting a muzzle on him - which could make him worse:eek:

Balto is really good, he will readily submit to any dog, but he is annoying >> he will bark at the dog to get a reaction out of them, bite their neck and then run for his life with a craved look of glee in his eyes when the other dog finally has had enough and switches >> he's a naughty boy lol, it would be interesting to see how Balto and Blaze get along, i know Balto will be 1 in June but i'll bet anything Blaze assume the boss of the two! Baltz isn't usually bothered by that, especially when Alaska is around, as Alaska is the boss of the two!

Shouldnt worry about that, My boys (especially Gizmo) showed me up and decided to make some boyfriends  lol

haha lol no way:eek:! but knowing alaska she'll turn into a nutter >> the other day she had a tennis ball and another dog was trying to get it off her >> tails wagging, smiling, playing and chasing each other (a match made in heaven) the other dog managed to knock the ball out of her mouth and she was outraged and attacked him..... poor boy didn't go for the ball again!
