nikitashuman
Niki has been abandoned at the vets this morning (or at least thats what the look on her face said when I left her in their cages) to be spayed and chipped. Not had a bitch before so it's a learning process for me too on the recovery side of things.
RoseWillow&Dexter
Hope it all goes smoothly, they just need to be kept calm and rest when they get home she may still be drowsy after the anesthetic and try not to let her lick her stitches. My girl went a bit weird after she was spayed, she started mothering all of her toys for a couple of days it was very cute
nikitashuman
The lady I foster for has lent me a cage to keep her safe and calm, not sure what she's gonna make of being in a cage mind? Wouldn't mind if Niki started mothering the foster dogs we have in to be honest she can be bit dominent at times

meeshsalts
We had Shaer and Talon done at the same time and Shaer was acting like nothing had happened before we went to bed. Talon was a typical man and took longer.
sutsibe
It's amazing how much faster they recover than a human would from a similar operation - she'll be up and around, and in a day or two, you'll be pulling your hair out trying to keep her from doing too much! nikitashuman
Thanks for all the posts. Had to rush her back in 6am Saturday morning as she was bleeding quite badly, they glued her but the blood was coming so quickly it pushed the glue off so she ended up with a nice blue bandage round her middle. She's refused point blank to use the cage so I'm sleeping on the sofa with her bed in front of it although sleeping might be a bit of an exaggeration. We've taken the bandage off now and shes stopped leaking and has today started bouncing. She's going back to the vets on Wednesday to have her 5 day check up (fingers crossed). What did touch me was when i went to pay the bill i was told i only had to pay for the mircochipping as the lady I foster for had paid for her spey. A large bunch of flowers and chocolates has been delivered to her. sending speedy recovery wishes to your little girl for wednesday Hellkitten
