  1. That is very cool! I've always wanted to pet a dolphin or swim with one. They are very interesting creatures.
  2. Haha, but they are worth the chaos, right? My Keira is just a little over a year old so she still has a little more growing to do, but here are a couple pictures of her (she's also in my avatar): The second picture is the most recent one of her when we got a bunch of snow earlier in the week.
  3. Aw, adorable little pups. I bet they are a handful now. Also, I have a Keira too.
  4. I voted, but I also love these two songs: Savage Garden - I Knew I Loved You And Savage Garden - Truly, Madly, Deeply There are so many more that I love too, but these are my two absolute favorites. The first one is the one that my husband and I chose for our first dance as husband and wife at our wedding reception.
  5. This is awesome. Keira 1. She is my first Husky, and was one of two puppies left in her litter. The other four had been bought already. 2. She is rarely quiet, unless she's napping or it's time for bed. 3. She knows a long list of commands and tricks, and has proven to be a very fast learner. 4. She may be a little on the small side, but she has a lot of power and can pull my husband over when she's excited and determined to go. 5. She gets along well with most and people, and loves our son. 6. She is the dominant dog in the house, but knows that my husband and I make the rules. 7. She doesn't really like to cuddle that often, but she LOVES getting her belly rubbed and her neck scratched. 8. She will play fetch for hours. 9. She is obsessed with squeaky toys. 10. Even though she has frustrated us in the past year, she has been the absolute best dog we could have ever asked for, and we are very lucky to have her in our family. Here are a couple of my favorite pictures of Keira: We finally got a decent snow this month and Keira was pretending to be an ostrich, LOL! Both of these were taken at our local off-lead dog park. Sage 1. She loves to cuddle and get belly rubs from everyone she meets. 2. She has the cutest howl, and her voice is deeper than Keira's. 3. She potty trained just as fast as Keira did. 4. She will let me blow dry her after a bath. 5. When we are outside or at the dog park, she will find sticks to carry in her mouth or carry a ball around (she will even hold the ball or stick in her mouth if she is doing her business too, lol). 6. She is a very calm Husky, and rarely gets the zoomies. 7. She knows a few commands and tricks, and we are working on more. 8. When we say crate or bed, she is the first one to go. 9. She has a woolly coat, and it takes me forever to brush her fur out. Thankfully she lays there and lets me do it or we'd have a serious problem. 10. She adores Keira, but won't let Keira bully her and will let her know when she's had enough if Keira doesn't take a hint. And now for my favorite pictures of Sage: Both of those of Sage are older, I need to get some good pictures of her now. She doesn't like to hold still for long so getting good pictures of her seems nearly impossible lol.
  6. Oh, sorry! I haven't been on here in awhile so I didn't notice the dates, my bad.
  7. Lol, that was cute! Mine generally ignore it, but sometimes they'll let me vacuum them a little.
  8. I'm sure I'll have the same problem too once I start biking with my oldest, lol. I'm looking into getting a GoPro camera that can be mounted onto a bike helmet, sled, bike frame, etc. so that it'll be easier to get good pictures and videos. They're pricey cameras though so I'm not sure if I'm going to get one this year or wait until next year.
  9. Nice videos! I agree though, they're not long enough, lol.
  10. I don't skateboard, or roller blade, but wouldn't it be easier if you had a walking belt or mushing belt to attach the line to instead of holding it with your hands? I would be scared of accidentally letting go of the line and losing my dogs, lol. But that's an awesome video! Gohan looked like he enjoyed it! I'm going to start biking with my oldest husky once I get her gear ordered and this snow clears out.
  11. Haha, that's funny! In the second picture where it's standing up on the couch "looking" out of the window it almost looks like a real dog, lol. Glad your niece loved it!
  12. I believe it is probably the same in other countries too, I know that I have encountered this same mentality in my town and other cities I've been to with my child. I was 20, almost 21, when I had my son, and I look young for my age (plus I'm very short). Anyway, I was stared at pretty much anywhere I went while I was pregnant and even after I had my son. I've been asked tons of times how old I am, if I'm married, or if I'm actually my sons sister... Yeah... It drives me nuts when people just assume things. I've also had some rude comments from family members, mostly from my husbands family on his dads side.. Like once I forgot to put a few burp cloths in the diaper bag before we left the house, and when we were asked if we had one and I checked and said no, they reacted and said that we were irresponsible and needed to be better prepared. That might have been something silly to get upset over, but I really took offense to it, I was extremely tired and just simply forgot to put them in there. People here generally will not judge if you have finished college, have a career, get married, own a car, and buy a house before having kids.. If you are younger than 25 and haven't done all of these things, assumptions will be made and you will get talked about.. Which is very sad because there are lots of women who are in their late teens or early twenties that are amazing mothers to their child or children. Age really has nothing to do with someones parenting ability, it really depends on the individual, how they were raised, and the environment they grew up in. Now with all that being said, my son will be 4 this year in May and I will be 25 in July. I have learned to ignore most of the comments and all the looks I get in public, and let all the "parenting advice" from family members and the comments that offend me a bit to just go in one ear and out of the other. But it is irritating to have to hear all of that kind of stuff, and it does hurt but eventually it will get better.
  13. Just checked the weather, since I haven't been outside today, and it says it's 1*F here with a windchill of -18*F, the high for today is 6*F. This is the coldest winter weather I can remember having here in KY.. Last night we had to get our electric heater out and put it in our bedroom, since it's the coldest room in the house even with the heat on at 80 all night. Thankfully our sons room is the warmest room in the house so he was fine all night, and he's bundled up now so he's okay. Keira has been bugging me to take her out all afternoon to play, but Sage is curled up on the couch and is not moving, lol. Everyone who is experiencing these dangerously cold temperatures, please keep warm and stay safe.
