Sarah
Heywood Veterinary Centre Heywood, Lancs Staff are fantastic, all loving and caring, there are 2 vets based permanently here, one i used to work with and have first hand knowledge of how the animals uner her care are treated. I wouldn't have any second thoughts about leaving Kimba or Kaiser there for any form of treatment. They also have a Pet Ambulance that can come out in emergencies. Bec
I like my vet, and it is hard to find a good one. There are two vets at my surgery - one is younger and quite up to date on the latest immunology and vaccination protocols, and is quite supportive if you chose not to vaccinate every year. The older vet is a bit more set in her ways and still thinks vaccinating each year is the way to go... quite amazing considering they work at the same vet surgery! Lana
Pack Leader: I love our vet. The base vets are the best and only ones i go to. It has a lot to do with trust and core values. The military are held in such high standards and there are no exceptions for the vet. They take their time to explain everything to you and answer any questions you may have. They only deal with DoD personnel only and are very cheap compared to off base vets. They have many different products for you to purchase but will tell you where you can find the same product for a better price. The Vet office is always clean, smells great, and flea free. They are seconds away from members that live on base and the staff is the greatest. I wish that everyone could experience the vets on base and compare them to vets off base. Sid_Wolf
i dont have much experience with our vet, only kiras shot and they seemed really good ricks mum has both Yuki and Buster registered there and they were really good when buster had an allergic reaction after trying to eat a bee lol. I think my mum used to take the cats there aswell until they found one closer to home
Lana
Pack Leader: Ninooks i would suggest you look for another Vet that you like is possible. I love to absorb knowledge so i ask many questions and expect answers. My vet provides that and encourage it. I believe if you cannot trust your vet then why take you loved pet there? I too would give a funny eye if i was told this is my first husky, however are they telling me that because they have little/no experience or "wow" this is my first husky. Sqwidge
I love mine too...(first time i realised they have a website!) http://www.islevetgroup.co.uk/ for Eika only had to deal with the shots and puppy parties, but the vet nurses are really lovely and even when i had a silly concern for Eik's, they listened and didn't just go, 'well why did you waste my time' kind of thing, i apologised and they said 'no worry, that's what we're here for!' I have had more experience with my cat that has asthma, and they have always explained each treatment, and which is cheaper....and better for her. Yup, love mine! raindog
Our vets are second to none. We have never come across a practice which is so user-friendly. They include us in everything and never try to play the "we are the professionals, you could not possibly understand the technicalities" card. We are on first name terms with everyone from the admins to the head of practice and they are all lovely people as well as being top class vets. Pierre, the original head of the practice retired recently, but Tim, who he groomed as his successor, is filling Pierre's shoes admirably. We would recommend them to anyone without a second thought. Mazz
Our vet is also second to none. Walcott Family Pet Clinic, in Walcott, Iowa. The doctors and staff were so good in taking care of Elke in her declining year and a half, and actually all through her life of almost 15 years. Zoya now goes to the same clinic and they are just absolutely in tune with their clients and up to date and new medical advances and increasing problems that the environment exposes our furry friends to. Lyn
Abbey vet group: Main practice in Barnsley and several satillite practices, including one 2 minutes down the road. Can't fault them! Great at what they do, but also recognise that we, the seasoned owner, may have valuable input in more 'specialist' aspects of the breed, advise without dictating. They have delt with everything we have thrown at them, including life-threatening whelping problems, gastric torsions, epilepsy and foster dogs with a range of problems. Most importantly, they KNOW their level of expertese, and are not afraid to refer on to a specialist if they can't give a problem the full assessment it needs. gold star from me
Chewbacca_&_me
I take my pets to the MILILANI TOWN CENTER VET CLINIC. (in the Mililani shopping center near walmart) Dr. Russell is very good and I reccomend her to anyone who asks. She has done all of Chewy's first year of vaccinations and care and is doing his neutering surgery next week. If you live in hawaii you should try her office instead of post vets or other offices. She is good at what she does and their office is always clean. Besides I love Dr. Russell because when Chewy was little he was really scared of everything and when he snapped at her she just got a treat and patted him a bit, instead of muzzling him and treating him like he was vicious. To me this is the mark of someone who knows what to do with animals.
majormom2u
I love my vet!... he loves my babies and the one time I did not have the money to cover Shiloh's treatment (he had an allergic reaction on his skin as a pup), he treated him anyway and told me that he was a vet to treat and save animals, not to retire a millionaire!... with that, he got my trust and respect!... the bill was paid the week after and we have never look to another doctor ever!!!!! Too many vets, if they don't know what to do, simply prescribe antibiotics and hope the problem will go away. Mick
