ShyLoh
My girl recently had a litter of 7 puppies. She is grey and the sire is grey however she only had 2 grey puppies and the rest are shades of red! They are 2 weeks old now and one puppy has me beat on what colour she will turn out to be. Will she stay this light cream, turn grey, or get darker? So show me your lighter red/cream huskies as puppies vs adults! Or if you just have an adult with no puppy pics show me them too! Here is pup in question. Last pic is her at 1 day old.

ShyLoh
My girls mom is red and her grandma is also red. And I believe the sire had 1 red parent also. In her litter she had 2 dark red/chocolate ones and then 3 of this colour, however the other 2 are slightly darker. Do you think she will stay similar to this colour then when she is an adult? ShyLoh
Update on colouring of my girl! Sh has lightened up a lot at 6 weeks old now. But she is getting dark circles around her eyes. Will she stay light? Darken up? Turn grey? Her under coat has a darker, grey/cream tinge to it.
wolfpup
What colouring are her parents? They change so much in their first 6 months - at 12 weeks one of my boys was light grey and white - he is now black and white - black on top and white underside. BingBlaze n Skyla
She might darken a bit but id be suprised if she goes grey just because her skin has liver pigmentation
ShyLoh
I am excited to see how she changes. I am keeping this girl! This is one of her siblings, who will be going to a close family member so it will be interesting seeing how they both mature!
Sara6
hello there! It seems to me that the puppies are silver, in the last two litters I had bright red puppies and their color was not even close to this one ... Atlas was like this when he was born at the age of one month, but he is a silver ,his father is red and the mother is light gray (almost white there is only a little gray on the back and on the mask) ... But it all depends on genetics, For example to me Lea on the father's side has only 3 black dogs the rest are cooper (closest in the pedigree further gnetic are mostly black, red and agouti dogs), all in all the red color of huskies is rare (I look at the cynological side, because there are tons of red dogs that are pets) ...Here is Atlas and Past Litter: The female is on the left, she is now very bright Atlas with two months she is like this dog, Maybe these puppies grow into an even brighter bright red dog. Huskies are weird in terms of color, for example, when you grt a gray puppy, it later turns black (which is very rare) or black, which later turns gray (although it is called diluted black). So far I only had working dogs (which were exhibited at shows) and I always got dark colors ... Now I got very dark puppies that is genetics returned to the 11th generation of dogs (sepal huskies). If you have a pedigree you can find in some database pedigree ancestral dogs.As an example the father of this litter: he as puppy Now
