So, Amy has been sick a few times since last night, didnt want her tea and is generally lethargic and feeling unwell, just got back from vet and I’ve had to leave her there for full blood work, xray and possible surgery.... its going to be a long day

She was lying in the waiting room with dogs walking right past her nose and she didnt move, whereas normally she would be kangaroo hopping to get to them to say hello, its awful seeing her like this, bring back bonkers Amy!!!

Got an update, Amy has pancreatitis, not sure to what degree she will have to stay in for anything up to 5 days, he’s not ruled out a blockage too but holding off on xrays for now, my poor baby

Spoke to vet this morning and Amy is much brighter, he was hopeful that she could come home tonight, but just spoken to the nurse and they may have to keep her in as she now has diarrhea with blood in which is a concern, poor Amy [emoji17]

Amys coming home today whoop!
Apparently she is bouncing off the walls and managed to chew her IV line out overnight so she’s obviously feeling better [emoji23]

Hugs and good wishes.
What's been occurring over past few days in your routine with her.. been out?
My neighbour's dog became very quiet & lethargic; he thought she was dying... turned out to be pyorrhea.. on the mend now with antibiotics.
Not a husky.. he also has French Bulldogs. Roxy is 11 I think..

Pancreatitis is really uncomfortable for them.. My Eski was off colour after they both ate an nearly whole 8lb old Xmas fruit cake with marzipan & fondeau icing. I reckon she took first helping as she would over food.. and she had raised pancreatic levels. I was told to expect them in for five days.
Because I gave them a larger helping of Kefir as soon as I knew about the cake - next day.. this prompted a bout vomitingcand evacuation and emptied them fast.. vet reckoned that's what got them home within 30 hours...
Kefir has been found to stabilise insulin levels in pancreas upsets.. where diabetes may be an issue or early cause.... not saying this is in Amy's case...
I do hope She's feeling better soon and back home.
