Problem is i am 23 with a Full time Job and i go to School Full Time.... So sometimes i dont really have the time to go on a 45 minuite walk or put in a full day of exercise for him! Anybody have any help for me on how much he should be getting and any ideas for exercise i could be getting him without going on a hour long walk??? Thor---63lbs.----Health is Normal, No problems! siberian_wolf
Have you got any dog walkers around you? Maybe a friend would be able to pop over and walk Thor for a while. If you are at work all day, I would look at maybe giving Thor some mental stimulation. You could buy him a Kong and put some flavoured paste inside. Have a look at these links for mental stimulation: http://www.k9station.com/mentalstim.htm http://www.yourdogsneeds.co.uk/nina-ottosson-interactive-dog-toys-c-27_63.html http://www.yourdogsneeds.co.uk/toys-c-27.html?osCsid=ca5b1cff23d1dd053c5400627af7d93d Hope this helps

And as far as the Mental Stimulation, i have tried many different toys.....Like Kongs but i swear Thor is a lil wierd (HEHE) in that he NEVER plays with toys! Not any kind of toys, i have bought him stuffed animals, Kongs, Balls, Ropes....etc. Got any ideas about why he wont play with toys??? I take you you never had a Full time Job and go to School Full Time when you 1st got him which I see happening alot when people get dogs lives change and we gotta change with it "any ideas for exercise" well at 63lbs he is already just over the 60lb max recommended weight for a male so you do need to do something more than the 2 hours a week that you say your doing now, mine burn of loads of energy running around in the garden although I do have a big garden for them to do this I know not everyone does. The only thing I can think of you doing is losing a little sleep time and walk him everyday at 23 it wont kill you am sure Welcome on board

Sarah
I work full time - start at 8.30 but get up at 6 to walk my boys for half an hour to an hour each morning......I am NOT a morning person lol ask my husband but I changed my schedule to allow more time for them. Maybe get up half an hour earlier and do a half hour walk in the morning - i love mornings now as I get one on one time with them and it's great to see them loving their walks
