Austinville
Well, I run Kaspersky and the other day I ran CC Cleaner on my pc. Now, Kaspersky is still running, but it's not detecting anything..... Do I need to re-install or what? I know this is vague, but I really know nothing about computer processes............ HELP! Removed #5
Presume you mean ccleaner. It shouldn't interfere with Kaspersky .... notice "shouldn't"
Marc
Not sure what ya mean by its not detecting anything. You mean its not running through files as normal, or its not finding anything?
Austinville
Marc It's not finding anything since I ran CCleaner. I'm wondering if CCleaner changed something? Before I ran it, Kaspersky was detecting various 'bugs' (not sure this is the right term, but it was detecting things) but since I ran it, nothing at all. Kaspersky automatically updates and I've ran manual checks, again without finding anything. For the first three months I owned this computer, it detected and reported several 'bugs'. Nothing now. I do get a box (not from Kaspersky) which frequently tells me my internet isn't working (when it is), and that Microsoft is searching for a solution. If I hit cancel, the message goes away and life goes on.
Marc
Actually how it is running at the moment is how it should be. You shouldnt have things being detected constantly, rather it shoud be something that only happens every now and then. Would assume that your computer is clean tbh
Austinville
Thanks! That makes me feel better.
Prinzess
I also use Kaspersky. Only time I hear from it is when I have clicked a site in my search and it denies it instantly if it is a bad site. I have been impresed with kaspersky so far.
lazyrocky
Instead of Kapersky, i would recommend you use Microsoft security essentials, its an antivirus from microsoft and completely free....cc cleaner is a great program to run once in a while
Michelle Sopi
We just took the Kaspersky thing off our comp a half hour ago - it wasn't donig anything but make everything run slow or not load up at all - changed it back to Prevx 3.0 which is awesome
Elyse
I use AVG Free (antivirus), Spybot Search & Destroy (anti-Spyware/adware) and CCleaner for my Windows. But, becky, glad to hear your computer is functioning normally now!
