Sid_Wolf Posted October 5, 2010 Report Share Posted October 5, 2010 When I was 1st starting out I would have loved to have had an option like this, so I'm gunna offer this to people If your interested in working your sibes, and they are over a year old (or very close to it), but not sure where to start, or dont wanna spend out for all the equipment to find you or the dogs dont enjoy it, you can come down and try out our equipment Kira runs well next to other dogs, as does Grey, we have 2 harnesses, (which seem to fit average size guys n gals), a set of 2 dog ganglines, a coupler, semi slip collars, and a suitable scooter. We're in Ipswich, Suffolk, if anyone wants to come down and use the equipment, and have a cuppa!! When Buck was 2 I went to a forest a few times withRacer and his dogs. We found out that Buck really wasn't into it. It was great of the guy because when I was looking for a Husky he would not sell me one because he felt our home wasn't suitable (secure garden) and we had cats.In the 80s and 90s he was a pioneer of the sport. We are going to try the dogs at Camp to see if they enjoy it, if they do we will get a Scooter, if we had space we would get a rig. From ads on ebay you see people buy scooters first and find it is not for them. It is great that you are offering people the chance to try before they buy. Iv actually been trying to get up the nerve to take my boy out on the scooter I bought for my girl! LOL But shes not even interested in running on walks and is tiney so Iv given up the idea of runing her and Im just gunna run Shadow.. maybe we can hava chat about it all at camp? your going right??? I need to get out on the scooter, but feel so much safer on the bike!! I wish Bshra would have a bike class lol I just wanna get a feel for it really, as I may have to upgrade to one next year!!
