Kato - New Photos Thread

Hi,

So it must have been what 6 years since I posted on the forum due to a multitude of reasons, splitting from the ex, having to allow Kato to live at my parents for a couple of years (weekly visits obviously) to just general life. My old thread has been archived that's how long ago :)

Anyways just thought i'd throw a few photos up and hopefully start updating again...

First of all here are photos of Kato's dad, quite thick set for a Siberian Husky but Kato is now just as "full" haha - father named MYSTIC LUNAR OF THE NIGHT (KC) mother was NOTHING BUT SWEETNESS (KC)

Kato and my parents dog on his first adventure to the ponds (6 months old so I could still catch him off the leash haha)

And Kato just a couple of months ago :) Strapping middle aged lad that he is =P

No matter what has happened over the past 6 years this big lad has still been the most amazing spoilt little brat there is :)

Thanks,
Paul

Thanks Markie, greatly appreciated. Makes me sad to think of the lost photos of him from the tiny little puppy he was in my signature :(

Just like his dad (me) he's now starting to get a middle aged spread haha I have honestly never met a dog like him (well none that aren't Huskies anyway, they all seem to be a little mad haha :P)

He's one of those dogs where, although he's had his man bits lopped off, you walk into a room and he instantly grabs your attention and has that little strut about him where he thinks he's the best and all others are mere mortals  until the now 12 year old German Shepherd puts him in his place ;)

Nice to meet you too!! :) And they are, they really really are! ha

I wouldn't worry about what you missed I mean you have him now!!! [emoji3] Take as many pictures as possible and post them on here of course haha [emoji3][emoji191][emoji191] I watch my huskies put each other in place also [emoji3] It gets a little crazy [emoji191][emoji3] Husky madness I guess that's why they say we are owned by huskies LOL they steal everyone's attention [emoji191][emoji4][emoji3][emoji3]

So here is a video of Kato and Amber (parents dog) having their usual play tussle whereby she sounds like a bear :)

Here is a video of Kato and Amber having a little chase, bear in mind he is only 4-5 year old and she is almost 10 haha

Here is a little video of him, for once, actually coming for a cuddle when I shout of him ;)

They always make me smile those videos to be honest :D

If i'm honest he's generally really good at that, for myself anyway... Different story for other people but for myself he loves a good old paws over my two shoulders cuddle haha I get wrong for spoiling him like a child but he is like my child and always will be ha :)

I've had GSD's all my life and they're amazing, so loyal, so easy to train and just brilliant brilliant dogs.... Kato was my first Husky and that was it, just hooked, nothing like them at all!! :)

Huskies are kind of like an addiction I think that's why I have so many just can't say no LOL my parents growing up had six two died now they have four. I have videos of mine too kind of being little nut cases [emoji191][emoji3] It's good you had GSDs before getting a husky taught you lots of things [emoji191][emoji4][emoji4]

Well I didn't realise the forum had stored my attachments which is a pleasant surprise so here he is 6 and a bit years ago as a little handful haha

Genuinely thought butter wouldn't melt... until the day I came back and that little den I had made for him was... well... in 100 different bits haha thats when I realised this dog takes after me so much :)

Haha I know that now... since he was my first Husky I thought awwww a little table on top of a dog bed with a blanket over the top and a chew toy would be enough..... Oh how wrong was I.......... the little table turned into half a table, the bed turned into a blanket, the blanket became non existent and the indestructible chew toy, well it was destroyed hahaha thankfully one of the tips i read from this forum originally was to leave a t-shirt with my smell on it in his "den" and it worked for Kato 100%... I've got a pretty strong bond with him, he can smell, sense, hear me coming back to the house from a good 100 yards away now :)

Yes if you ever get another one that's a Golden rule to follow [emoji4] My two puppies sleep in kennels still and sometimes they will reach through it to get the blankets I have out for the other huskies to sleep on hahaha sneaky little things LOL I'm not gone very much but when I leave out of the house they go crazy I can hear them howling a mile away [emoji191][emoji191][emoji23][emoji23]

Yep I definitely found that worked :) To be honest obviously having GSD's my whole life I thought it would be fine but I have taken on so many tips and advice from this forum , it is such a great resource for husky owners and I forwarded on to those friends I know that have huskies. The worst thing is in the UK huskies have seemed to have become a fad or trend and people don't realise how different they are and the time and effort they require to raise!

Huskies are big thing here two in the United States everyone wants one but usually for the wrong reason. The main reason being they have a cute cuddle look and and adorable face that just makes you want to hold them but usually that's not how it goes. I've trained and worked with huskies to get them to new homes I've also rescued three because they required a lot more work then an average husky would. Sly for example has a over bite so she get taste of the wild hard food mixed with blue wilderness can food to make sure she can eat it. [emoji191][emoji191][emoji175] They do require lots of effort and lots of attention I have to work at least six hours a day either training or working at the vet clinic. When I'm leaving to go to the vet clinic is when the howling starts I just ignore it I come home to them sleeping LOL [emoji23][emoji23]

By shit bags I obviously meant delightful 4 legged best friends that believe they are entitled little wolves that deserve every single minute of your time and if you don't give them it they will surely let you know haha :P

Markie, I would love to buy more, however Kato demands my full attention already and should I buy ANOTHER Husky not only would I have to deal with ANOTHER petulant child but I'd have to deal with Kato's permanent look of abandonment because i've even had the audacity to stroke said other dog!
