Devildust76
So who watched the first episode of the new season? It is still THE best show on TV at the moment. Can't wait to see what happens. What will happen to Jon Snow? When will Danerys ever reach the Iron Throne? When will the dragons grow to be full size? So many questions! Mollys Dad
Love the series. Not entirely sure what Jon Snow is up to - maybe he is smart enough to be 'playing' Mance Rayder (sp?) and the rest of them? I have read (through various Icelandic media that I subscribe to) that they (producers etc) have agreed to some filming in Iceland (near Myvatn) for series 4. The biggest issue is GRRM being able to complete all the books before he 'passes' - he is not a young / well man

Mollys Dad
As Tyrion once said: "I have a tender spot in my heart for cripples and bastards and broken things." (@admin - please excuse the profanities - it is a direct quote from the series, no offence intended, lest I be offended by my own quote) @Andy - I subscribe to various Icelandic news threads, as well as being a major fan of the series. If only I could be an extra...! I did turn down the chance to be in King Arthur though...

Wow that would have been different Have you ever read any Stephen Lawhead http://www.stephenlawhead.com/the-books.html The Pendragon Cycle and the Song of Albion are both awesome series. Lost count of how many times I've read them
Mollys Dad
Ooh - not heard of him / his books. May well be worth checking out. My services (for the King Arthur film) were requested as I was one of the *very few* people who were sufficiently experienced at fighting (and training others - hand-to-hand combat instructor) with two swords (some call this 'Florentine') as opposed to the rather more obvious '1 sword & a shield'. I turned it down as it would have meant more time out of Uni than I could spare at the time
raindog
I watched a couple of episodes but quickly got bored. I'm not into fantasy, "swords and sorcery" or soft porn at the best of times, and Game of Thrones seemed to be a mix of all three - didn't do a lot for me. LOL if it's made by HBO then it does tend to be a mix of all

Christine0925
Yeah that last episode was utterly entirely insane and completely a surprise. WOW
Mollys Dad
So far, episode 9 of each series has been the *big* one - Ned's execution, Blackwater Bay, and this time we get the 'The Red Wedding' (for pretty obvious reasons!) but even so, I was left stunned. When I watched it the second time, I noticed they didn't include any kind of theme tune during the rolling credits. Just silence. . . . . . . Stunned silence! sarahjng
I love this series, and sometimes I hate my OH, he's read the books so delights in dropping little hints about what's coming up, I'm used to this and its fine, and yet he said NOTHING about the wedding except " that's interesting " I thought maybe the groom changes his mind or something, I did not expect wholesale slaughter !
