It really depends on who you follow. I used to follow close friends only but that way Twitter became boring very quickly. At some point I decided to tweet only in English and open my account to others and allow people I didn't knew (at that time): Husky-owners members, random husky people and other people that share an interest with me I stumbled upon. Now Twitter was much more fun again by sharing interesting things with each other :) And the last group I added was the 'news' group where I get either directly or indirectly notified about fun or interesting stuff that interests me (programming/internet/games/photography). I use my own account simply for entertaining purpose, writing my thoughts and views on it in a (hopefully) funny way, but I'm not always very active on there.
