  1. My boyfriend and i would like to come, are there any cabins left? and if so, is there anything we should know before hand before i reserve a cabin? thank you!
  2. out of complete curiosity, ive looked at dantes body length and leg length and they seem rather long for his age, is this a normal size for a 4 month old puppy? ive measured him up against other full grown huskies, and he is almost as tall as they are, but hes no where near done growing. i was curious on your opinions!

    Crazy Faces!

Dante growing up, he had only two pictures taken with crazy faces, i guess his wild and crazy ways are just not containable!
  4. no, hes stuck to science diet for awhile now. he gets fed a cup and a half at dinner, and snacks during the day as we both work and cant quite trust his routine yet. something i noticed him doing was he now gets our attention by just peeing a little, with no real warning, and when we send him outside he refuses to do his business. other than that hes fine
  5. i completely understand, as we too just got our puppy, we got him at 6 weeks, and hes now 12 weeks old. the reason he is crying is because he might have seperation anxiety. it can only get better over time. during the night my puppy will be completely silent in his crate now because ive gotten him to trust his crate, ways to do this is give him treats while hes in there, and make it a happy place for him to be. another way is to feed him in there, and take him out when he is finished to go potty. you just have to be patient with him and know that it does get better. as for leaving him and he cries, we still have problems with that. you just have to give it time. hes away from his mother and litter, and the only thing that he recognizes is you, and if youre not there for him to see he will get upset. just keep at it, and soon you will see huge differences. if he starts biting the crate like mine did, put some bitter on the bars. it tastes bad to them, but it makes them stop so they dont hurt themselves. also they are escape artists. if he gets out while youre away you cant do much to stop him. so try and see if you can put the door against something or latch it in a way he couldnt open it. my puppy has become the houdini himself
  6. Dante has made great progress since i last posted here! it has been awhile since ive had a chance to get on my computer to update but now i can! Dante is in puppy training and has already mastered sit, lay down, and shake. we currently are working on loose leash walking, and socialization with other dogs. but compared to how he was before, hes a saint. we are still having issues with him pooping and peeing in the house, he knows that he must go outside to poop or pee, but he chooses to do it inside right before we manage to open the door for him to go outside. when this happens he doesnt let us know by barking, or anything, he just gets up, and pees before we have time to react. hes also started pooping in his crate even though hes been out multiple times during the night, and then he will roll in it and we have to bathe him almost every day. other than that, hes gotten much better. hes starting to go into his crate on his own now, and will not whimper when its time for bed. and if he does its for maybe 15 seconds. he is now 3 months old, and hes growing like a weed. very very healthy and huge haha. does anyone have tips on the potty training? youd think he would have it down by now, but hes really struggling with it.
  7. there is a product that you can get that tells them not to go there. its a spray and it deters them so they dont do it again. try near puppy pads area in pet stores.
  8. well im glad to say Dante has gotten better. but still has troubles with staying asleep throughout the night, and still becomes irate when hes alone or in his crate. past two days have been nerve wracking as hes now found out how to get past our baby gate, by sticking his head through the bars and pulling until it comes off. i fear this will hurt him, but we can never correct him because he never does it in front of us. going to work has been a worrisome process, as all i can think about is his safety and the lack of sleep i get inhibits my work. he has also learned how to escape his crate. so we are still struggling, and cant find a solution. sleeping on the floor next to him works the first couple of times but if he wants out he will not stop until he achieves that
  9. im going to try that tonight Nobel, hes close to our bed but maybe itll help if i get down there with him. we also got him a calming collar that seems to be working, as well as some rawhide for bed time. we shall see how tonight goes...
