Do you need to leave the house after you spray it? I've got two old rats who hate going anywhere. Plus I'm going to have to cover up my fish tanks as well when I use the spray.

Thanks. I was hoping this would never happen. I always make sure to put the anti flee and tick medication on her, but I think I was a week or two late the last time and this happened.... I feel like an idiot for not catching it sooner.

I wormed her a few weeks ago so thats good. Going to hover and spray everywhere tomorrow.

So, Shadow got flees even though she's been treated properly with drops... how the hell do I get rid of them and what stuff should I get (closest store is Pets at Home)?

I had Shadow in a flat for a weekend a month or two ago. She was completely fine. We took her out right before bed (it was three stories up) then as soon as we had breakfast we would take her out again in the morning. She was 100% fine and we had no issues with her at all.

So Shadow had decided to pick up an annoying habit of picking anything and everything up on walks and trying to eat it. It's to the point were she swallowed a tied plastic bag whole filled with who knows what the other day (the emergency vet just told us to monitor her and only bring her in if she gets sick). She just swallowed it before I could get it out of her mouth. I'm also now having to fight her every walk for bottles and anything else she grabs and decides she wants to keep. I don't know what has caused this. We've started walking without our head harness which is making it a lot harder to keep her away from junk since she can pull like crazy. I need help now to stop this behaviour. Even treats won't make her give up whatever she's grabbed.

I hope that's the case. I've made sure to keep her cool though and take her out at cooler times of the day. Well she goes out around midday, but only to the corner and stays under the trees were it's cool, she won't poop in the garden and will just hold it until I take her to the park. I don't think she got too hot, but she did eat after she was in the park and today she was busy taking and running off with another dogs ball instead of just walking around slowly with us (this was around 7pm so it was cooler). She is her normal self otherwise. Cheeky little rascal, now demanding three walks a day. Her stomach isn't bothering her, I did feel it and she wasn't bothered.

On Monday, Shadow was sick twice, throwing up food from earlier. She was fine after I kept her off her food for 12 hours (she even stole my sandwich, she doesn't normally snatch food from me). She's been fine since, apart from being hot, but it's hot in the UK right now. She just threw up again tonight. There was still carrot in there from yesterday afternoon which I found unusual. The last time she threw up I thought she had eaten something bad in the park, but this time around I know she hasn't. Could the weather be making her sick or could this be something else?

Thanks for the advice guys. I found all her pet insurance details just in case I need to take her to the vets. I also got a picture of her poop tonight. She isn't pestering us for her food so I'm guessing she isn't feeling too great, but she's busy tossing a ball around the living room right now. Thanks for the info. I won't feed her again until tomorrow night and see what happens (I'm going to have a grumpy/howling dog :/ I'll make sure to get some white rice in for her tomorrow. I have some freshly cooked chicken in the fridge that I've been feeding her. I haven't seen any blood in her stool, I've had a good look. It just very orange/yellow. It's really strange. It all started after she decided not to poop one night, then she had three poops one morning that gradually went worse and worse. Yesterday morning her poop was fine, but in the evening she was back to the mess and this morning it came out ok at first then went bad again :/ It's strange.

For the past few days Shadow has had problems with her poop. She's still eating and drinking normally (she is 100% hydrated) and acting pretty much herself apart from when she starts whimpering because she needs to go. I'm unsure of what to do, her poops are kind of mucusey, but they start off normal then go to liquid. Yesterday her poop was normal in the morning, then she didn't poop on her normal evening walk then around midnight I had to take her out again because she was upset. Nothing has changed in her diet or routine, the only thing I can think of is she ate something off the field two nights in a row. People like leaving bread and seeds out for the crows and seagulls but I didn't see what she ate. I've been really cautious about what she eats, but they keep putting the damn stuff in different spots, the last two nights she got to it before I saw it. Other then that she has been her normal self pretty much, I can tell she's a little off though. She's constantly begging for food, actually, she went a step further the last few days and tried to snatch food from my hands (she got told off for it don't worry, it's no big deal). She's been playing as much as she normally does, although she's been a little quieter on walks, she actually walked by my side yesterday instead of running off for part of our normal walk. Is there anything you guys can think of that would help her. I hate seeing her like this :/

I was just out walking Shadow in the snow! I didn't even know it was snowing until I opened the front door! Shadow loved it!

Still nothing really here in Coventry. It was snowing when I was walking back from Kung Fu, but it wasn't on the ground long. Sucks.

Nothing in Coventry. I've been tracking the system coming over and I doubt we will get anything if it carries on like it is.
