Beverly
Hi there everyone, I noticed this evening, as I was petting my husky, that he was missing a patch of fur on his right hind leg; no redness or soreness noticed. It doesn't seem to bother him and I have never noticed this before. Shadow was diagnosed with a zinc deficiency approx. 3 years ago, he has been getting regular daily doses of nutrazinc, unsure if this could be related to the problem or not... As for changes, nothing is different or has been changed, he has had the same diet, same treats same environment as usual. Attached is a picture, any insight would be greatly appreciated! Thank you! RedJasper
I am sorry that I have no advice to offer. I hope that you get to the bottom of it soon. My Rusty has always had a bald patch on one of his knees and it is nothing to be concerend with. Hoping that this is the same.

Mazz
Are those two lesions I see in the photo?
BingBlaze n Skyla
I was thinkin the same as mazz those look like broken skin possibly a bite?
Removed #5
I see the same thing Mazz and Nix do ... it looks like something might have been nibbling on him. I'd watch that spot for a day or two and if they don't clear up (or if others develop) I'd run him by the vets to see what's doing the nibbling. Beverly
I looked at it a bit closer but I am unable to tell as the skin is mostly dried up and scaley but I will certainly be keep an eye on it, thus far that seems to be the only one and it doesn't bother him so it may just be minor, I hope.. thank you! Mazz
Are there ticks in your area? A tick bite can cause hair loss like your photo.
Beverly
No, no ticks in the area and neither of my other 2 dogs have this and all 3 play in the same areas in the yard.
