Missing Patch Of Fur

Recommended Posts

Hi there everyone,

I noticed this evening, as I was petting my husky, that he was missing a patch of fur on his right hind leg; no redness or soreness noticed. It doesn't seem to bother him and I have never noticed this before. Shadow was diagnosed with a zinc deficiency approx. 3 years ago, he has been getting regular daily doses of nutrazinc, unsure if this could be related to the problem or not... As for changes, nothing is different or has been changed, he has had the same diet, same treats same environment as usual. Attached is a picture, any insight would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

I looked at it a bit closer but I am unable to tell as the skin is mostly dried up and scaley but I will certainly be keep an eye on it, thus far that seems to be the only one and it doesn't bother him so it may just be minor, I hope.. thank you!

my girl had what looked like a bite or something on her neck which scabbed over so I went to the pet shop and got some doggy tea tree cream made sure it was safe to put on the wound with the staff n then used that maybe you could do the same n that might help?

Are there ticks in your area? A tick bite can cause hair loss like your photo.
