Smithy
Now I know that garlic is good for dogs (in small amounts) ticks, fleas, etc BUT do your dogs like the smell of fresh garlic? When I've been chopping garlic and let them smell my hands they hate it, anybody had any experiences???

lynnmw1208
I've heard about this. Our dog trainer recommended feeding a bit of garlic with food to keep fleas away as a natural remedy. she also suggested equal parts apple cider vinegar and water to spray on the dog before you go out. I dunno, I haven't tried this and I don't think either would smell very good. I just use the good ole K9 Advantix for fleas. Oh and I also saw on a show called the doctors that a natural remedy is to bathe the dog in Avon's skin so soft. Supposedly it will leave the dog smelling great, will soothe the skin and keep the fleas down 40%
