I've heard about this. Our dog trainer recommended feeding a bit of garlic with food to keep fleas away as a natural remedy. she also suggested equal parts apple cider vinegar and water to spray on the dog before you go out. I dunno, I haven't tried this and I don't think either would smell very good. I just use the good ole K9 Advantix for fleas.

Oh and I also saw on a show called the doctors that a natural remedy is to bathe the dog in Avon's skin so soft. Supposedly it will leave the dog smelling great, will soothe the skin and keep the fleas down 40%
