aksnowpeach
Anybody got any cures for bad breath? Kai's teeth look perfect, but UGH does his breath stink! I brush his teeth once a week and it really doesn't seem to do anything for it. he chews on his flossy rope thing too but that only kills the bad breath for like an hour. Akira26
Well I have recently heard that there is infact a doggy mouthwash that can be used to target bad breath lol Anyway after researching a little I found these links: http://www.petmeds.co.uk/c-56-dogs_dental.aspx?pagenum=2 http://www.stankbreath.com/dental-care-for-animals/mouthwash-for-dogs/ http://www.calibex.com/Collars-Tags--zzdog+mouthwashz2702012zB6z5---html There is also a thing for healthly teeth but more specifically for treating bad breath which is called Plaqueoff Hope these help
Sid_Wolf
have you tried raw bones and carrots? kiras fed on dry food (pets at home's own) chicken wings, liver, heart, bones and raw carrots and her breath never smells. she gets a whole carrot every other day, its healthy and good for scrapping the plaque off teeth. tho as their a bit older they may not have had dental care before so might wanna look into gum disease, tho dneal treatments for dogs is expensive i think... aksnowpeach
I just got Cypra's teeth done and it wasn't as bad as i thought, it cost me 91 euro, which is about $160. Kai doesn't need his done, so I am just hoping that him chewing on things will help cure it!
Austinville
Here's a good link to read through - also, I occassionally give Bo parsley, which is a natural breath cleaner. First though, you must determine what the underlying problem is. http://www.aspca.org/pet-care/dog-care/dog-care-bad-breath.html
Kiba
get dog breath mints that inclue Chorophyll and Parsley. They take care of the stench that comes up from the stomach. When i got my Sibe her breath was horid. I got her a nylabone to chew on to clean her teeth and chlorophyll/parsley breath mints. 2 a day at meal time. No more bad breath... AT ALL!!! I dont advise giving your dog chicken bones ever ever ever. They splinter way too easily and can get lodged in their throat and digestive system causing bleeding and blockages. siberian_wolf
I dont advise giving your dog chicken bones ever ever ever. They splinter way too easily and can get lodged in their throat and digestive system causing bleeding and blockages. They can have raw chicken bones. Only cooked bones (chicken or pther bones) that can splinter. Our 3 have raw chicken wings all the time and never had a problem with them, I wouldnt ever feed them cooked bones as any cooked bones can splinter! Think about a dogs natural diet, completey raw meat and bones, and they do just fine and that includes chicken.
