We grew up across the street from each other, we met when we were bout 1.. We are still friends today. Her family got Rusty when we were about 15. That is his favorite blanket, Jess actually still has it. Well Rusty lost his battle to cancer yesterday. He was always the first to greet you at the door with kisses. Even though I didn't see him for 6 years, when I went to visit Jessica's parents, he was still right at the door when I came in. I am lucky to have been in his life if only a little. He will be missed. Here is a picture from earlier this year.. Edit: I did get to see him a while ago after not seeing him for a while.
