Lyn
Silly, but not uncommon! Alcohol gel has been removed from the back of our ambulances and a certain ward of one of our hospitals, because the patients will drink it! It's around the 90% alcohol mark. Val (Zebedee)
Yeah, we heard on the radio news yesterday it was being removed from hospitals as patients were drinking it - very bizarre ...
Lyn
To the mind of an alcoholic, whos rattling for a drink, it's far from bizzare. We are talking a person with an addiction who will drink ANYTHING with alcohol in in the absence of 'proper' drink. Meths is another common one, along with other solvent and alcohol containing substances.
Dunc
What did the expect with alcohol wrote on the bottles ? DOH

Lyn, I know, I was married to an alcoholic - but I was talking about everyday people who see further into their surrounding objects than what they were intended for

Lyn
I also love the smell of it, and can legitamately splash it on my hands all day (up to the elbows sometimes if Ive done one of 'those' type of jobs!). the stuff we have at work smells good, but the bottle of alternate liquid stuff I have in my kit bag is BETTER

Lyn
Ive accidently tasted it, and wasn't pleasent! Accidentaly ended up with it in my eyes at the same time and finished up with an A&E doc irrigating my eyes and sending me home with drops to treat the burns! The pump dispenser mounted at chest hight had a blocked nozzle. Pressed it and it went upwards!
