Mollys Dad
All done although may be a few "blips" later on whilst I tweak settings Ok, the forum has been back up for a while now this evening and I am just playing catch-up (ketchup?) with my notifications (partly coz I'm not supposed to be on here at work lol) What has been upgraded during this latest downtime? Marc
PLEASE SELECT AS APPROPRIATE TECH ANSWER: Updated the database engine to the latest version of mysql which improves concurrency and includes an inbuilt innodb engine which is superior to the plugin previously used to run data querys. NON-TECH ANSWER: Switch something bad for something good. Forum load faster.

Both versions work for me
Mollys Dad
Hmm... "The database has encountered a problem." (very useful error message!) keeps coming up - refreshing the page seems to fix it most of the time but not always. Something is Donald Ducked @Marc?
