No One Likes A Bully...............

Recommended Posts

So much could be learned just from wolf behaviour alone. There used to be a big taboo with comparing dogs with wolves, but since I've learned more about wolf behaviour and seen it myself, I can see quite some behaviour back in most dogs.

Though, most breeds aren't like wolves. Wolves communicate with sounds, eyes and their whole body in general. Some breeds have, for example, long ears. Some breeds have hair in front of their eyes. Some breeds just have a stumpy tail. Basically, people have removed the ability to communicate properly for them. That's why some dogs can be quite unpredictable because they just have no way of communicating how it should be.

Because dogs live in different situations, behaviour can be different than wolves though. Dogs mostly don't live in big packs and they do depend on the humans all the time. With wolves, they seem to clarify their pack-order in every move they do, even while playing. With dogs it's less clear what happens. But it's still fun to see the similarities and the differences between wolves and dogs.
