  1. Thanks everyone. My husband and I are excited. We thought it was a nice way to tell the world. Maggie is our first baby anyway so she will be a big sister for sure. She already follows me around! I think she knows. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  7. Dear little dog owner, I love looking out my window and seeing your dog poop. That is really not the problem. The problem is it happens every day and you do not pick it up, I yell at you every day. I have told management, they have given you notices. I am really fed up. You need to stop!!! Grrr!!
  8. It really depends on the mal and how socialized it is. My malamute is a female. She is very well socialized malamute, she has been around all dogs either sex. She loves all dogs and people. Some dogs she can be iffy with. She doesn't tolerate behaviors like humping or barking at her. I know malamutes can be same sex or dog agressive but it is not always the case. each malamute is different.
  9. well that's why I love colorado. 2 things most people love here, beer and dogs.
  10. it is highly regulated. They have bouncers and people that work in the dog park area. This was what I was afraid of before I went. I changed my mind. They have another one here that is a different name and same concept. According to one of my husky owner friends, she said their is only one gate from the public to get into the park and not go through the bar side. She said they will have people hanging out with the gate wide open. um not going to that one.
  11. We have this place here called the bark bar. It is a dog park and bar. It is really a neat concept. I was already skeptical but tried it and we loved it! me and mags my husband and showing the "park"
  12. Yes I made arrangements with the breeder/musher to see her dogs. She also does sled dog tours with mals, its something I want to do. She was happy about talking to be because I do have malamute experience. I grew up with working dogs, my husband did too (mine was herding and his was hunting). I know it's a lot of work. We go on runs with maggie 3-4 times a week, (4-6 miles) I hope we know what we are getting our selves into. The whole idea is to get one that gets along with Maggie. Maggie like most female malamutes is iffy with other females. We most likely will get a male.
  13. I live in the west coast boo. I always wanted to go to one. I taught all the mushing stuff I know to myself. lol
