Husky98661
My husky has a few crusty spots on his head. They dont seem to bother him. But this isn't the first time this has happened the last time all the hair under is mouth fell off and turned red and scabby. I took him to the vet and put him on antibiotics and changed his food several times. And found something called orijin. Six fish that and the meds seemed to clear it up last time. He was good for a few months and now the problem is back. Anyone run into something like this.
BingBlaze n Skyla
Do you have any pics ? It sounds like it could possibly be zinc deficiency which is common in huskies
wolfpup
Defo sounds like zinc is the culprit - are there any scabs around the eyes as well as the mouth? One thing you can try at home is to get a zinc based cream - and try rubbing a little onto the crusty area - if it goes away you will know it is a zinc deficiency. Huskies have a higher requirement for zinc than any other breed of dog.
