What Is The Problem??

So MSU has these post-admission steps that I need to follow, and I have only one left; providing flight information online. I clicked the link, and the site takes forever to load. Finally Firefox gave up and said "the connection was reset". Small bullets underneath explains that the link might be down. So I contacted MSU's international students' body Facebook page and yesterday they told me they've fixed the link. Not according to my browser! I notified them again, along with a screenshot, but they insist that the link is not broken and it's my internet. I tried connecting to the link through Google search but the same thing happens. I'm pretty sure nothing's wrong with my internet as I'm able to connect to anything else just fine :( should I try another browser? I'm still sure the link is down though!

Sometimes when things go down, it takes a little while for it to come back up for everyone. It's strange, I used to help run a forum and had people messaging me saying they were online and others saying they were offline once we got the servers up and running again. Just give it a few hours and see what happens.

Can't hurt to try another browser. It has been known to happen that some sites simply don't agree with this or that browser. Try loading the site through IE or Google Chrome. If you're able to, you could try using another computer, and/or trying to access the site from another location. These little things sometimes help.

My guess is that the link was down because it was pointing to an incorrect IP address and therefore they had to change it, so your problem now is that its stuck in your browser cache and therefore still thinks its connecting to the old IP on that address.

Step 1:- download the free version of this http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download

Step 2:- Install it

Step 3:- Run it

Bare in mind you will loose all your browser history and cache so ensure that you know any passwords that you have stored in your browser as it wont remember your logged in until you log in again
