Marc Posted July 1, 2009 Report Share Posted July 1, 2009 OK Guys I need your help. As you know Im building this Siebcare application for all our members, however I need some input. Now obviously with us having a scheduler on it, Im going to need some way of showing the scheduled items, however Im not entirely sure on how to go about it..... ie. which way to show them. So I want your input.. So here are the ideas I have come up with, and Im hoping someone may have better ones lol. TABBED WEEK - 7 tabs along the top of the page with a left and right arrow to move from week to week, each tab will contain a list, hour by hour of the day, and will contain any scheduled items. You can double click on these items to view or edit them. PROS: you can see an hour by hour view. CONS: you will only be able to see a day at a time. MONTH CALENDER - Looking similar to outlook, with a full month view. Again with items contained within boxes for each day.PROS: you can see a full month at a time. CONS: you cannot see the hour by hour breakdown when you have more than one thing going on in the same day. WEEK TABLE - Similar to the tabbed, however you will be able to see all the 7 days on one page. Days along the top, then the hours along the side. Again with each item you have scheduled which you can double click on to edit/view in full. PROS: you can see afull week breakdown, hour by hour at a glance. CONS: you will have to move week to see things going on later in the month. Im not gonna say which are my preferences, as I am biased because Im the one who has to code it. I want the application to be for it's users. I am fully open to new ideas (in fact I encourage them) on how to show the schedule. For anyone who doesnt know about SibeCare at all.... siberian_wolf Posted July 2, 2009 Report Share Posted July 2, 2009 I agree with andy, I think the week table sounds like it will be the better one - as long as it is easy to move week by week lol I think the month one will be good for those with alot of sibes as it is usually easier to look at the entire month in one when you have alot of sibes (either owned or fostered) however if you can still look forward with the week table I would think it would be just as useful and also allow to view the times too Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

What I'm gonna do is concentrate on the week tab view for the time being, then will add the others in the next release.
