Good evening all you wonderful huskies and humans! Simka here barking that it has definitely been a while, but me and mommy are still doing ok in this crazy COVID time! Hope all of you are doing well too! I quickly just wanted to share with you the awesomeness that me and my Newfie friend Grizzlee stumbled across this afternoon. We are staying at Aunty Kristen’s for a couple of days and she is doggysitting us. Well, for us sneaker monsters, it has been a very ruff winter. No new sneakers to devour at all So when I heard we were going over to Aunty’s, we were totally pumped! As soon as we set foot in her house, we could smell them: Yup, there were definitely new sneakers hiding there somewhere! We let our noses lead us up stairs to the guest room and this is what we saw behind the bed: OH BOY!!! Aunty’s yummy new sneaker collection for summer! Me and GrizzLee went nutso. Mmmmm slurp! New Nikes and Reeboks. Delicious!!!! Well, before we could enjoy them, Aunty found us and made sure to lock the door. Hmmph! Well, me and Grizz just can’t stop dreaming about chewing on those new sneakers!!! Ok help us all! Convince Aunty to let us have them for dessert!!!! Simka and GrizzLee

Good evening all! Sorry it has been a while, but mommy is having this new sunroom thingy built at our house and we have been busy with that. Hopefully it will be finished and we can enjoy it this year before snow flies! Yikes, paws crossed! So mommy and me went over to Grizz Lees today for a bbq and fun get together. The weather was perfect and I think mommy may have even got a little sunburn out of it. Ouch! Well, when we got there, Grizz and Rusty and Bluedog were hangin' and scoping out any possible yummy footwear to grab. Boy oh boy, it has been waaaaay too long since us shoedogs got to eat any new nikes! If my canine memory is correct, a month in human years and an eternity in doggy years! Well, all of a sudden Rusty perks up and takes off running and we follow him right to these: Ggggggrrrr, slurp! We surrounded them and sniffed and licked them hungrily. They were on the feet of Linda, one of Grizz Lees mommies friends. Infact, the last time she was over we got to enjoy her shoes although it took a little bit of pursuading. Well, as we nibbled, she laughed and said that this pair of shox are too tight and hurt her feet, so she said she would be daring this time and bring them over for us big hungry shoe monsters to enjoy. Linda is Awesome!!!!! They were sooooo delicious and we growled and snorted as we all chewed them. Then, as if they were not heavenly delicious enough, Linda "accidently" spilled some sweet baby rays barbecue sauce on them. WoooHoo!! It didnt take us naughty boys very long to eat those new leather nike shox right off her feet. Mmmmm, all that soft chewy white leather and sweet bbq sauce. It dont get no better than that! That was earlier this afternoon and as soon as we got them, we ran off to Grizz Lees secret nike sneaker chewing hideout down in the woods behind the house. A little while ago, we kinda got busted. Linda had snuck down behind the house and must have followed our tracks because she came back with a pic of Grizz Lees hideout: Well, Just when we thougt the gig was up, Linda said she would not show anyone where it was, and it would still be a secret. Wow I just cant bark enough about how cool this Linda human is!!!! Well, gotta get back out there with the boys and eat those yummy shox up for dessert! Will keep everyone updated as to our progress! Ah good afternoon all! Simka here with an update: So mommy dropped me off over at Grizz Lees for a play date today. I got there just in time as the boys were having a late afternoon nike snack, and I got to do some chewing too! Alls i can say is that the boys LOVE those new nikes of Rachels and have been enjoying them nonstop. Their evil plan is to steal them tonight and take them to Grizz's secret hiding place in the woods behind the house. They will camp there tonight and have a late night nike dessert! Amazing!!! Simka

Good evening all! Simka here barking that I hope all of you humans and huskies are having a grrrreat summer so far. And a happy July 4th for those who celebrated! It sure has been cool and rainy here in maine. Definitely not awesome summer weather! I was over hanging out at GrizzLees house earlier today. Oh, btw: Rusty is doing wonderful! He has settled in very well and Grizz and Bluedog just love him! Well, us dogs were all hanging in Grizz's livingroom earlier when Aunty Rachel stopped by. She was going to watch the boys for the next three days while Carol goes on a trip. Rachel ran up the stairs and almost right into us dogs. At that moment we all couldn't believe our eyes. Just inches from our mouths were these yummy yummy yummy treats: Now it has been like three weeks (an eternity in dog years) since us shoedogs have tasted any new nikes and seeing and smelling these just pushed us over the edge! We immediately manned our battle stations. Grizz and Rusty got their mouths around the toes of Rachels right nike and chewed and drooled while Bluedog got his jaws around the heel and gnawed and slobbered. Being more refined, I Simka the amazing Husky undid the laces and got the tongue of the nike in my mouth and tugged for all I was worth. That soft squishy leather nike was no match for us and we grabbed it off her foot in no time flat. We started on the left nike when Rachel stopped us and said she had to leave and do some errands but would be back later and wanted her nike back. After some whining and negotiating, we gave it back. Rachel said that she hoped we enjoyed our little appetizer and that she would be back later. Well, mommy came a little later to bring me home and the boys were going nutso waiting for Rachel to bring those delicious new nikes back. Rusty just cant wait to sink his teeth into them and fill them up with lots of warm slimy newfy slobber! Well I guess good things come to those who wait! Grizz , Rusty and Bluedog are gonna have an awesome next couple of days! When I left, they were planning their sneak attack. I hope Rachel brought another pair with her because I dont think these are going to last long at all! Will keep everyone updated. Good night for now! Simka

Hey all! Simka here with an update on Rusty: He is home now with Carol and Grizz Lee and Bluedog. AND today was his day to meet Aunty Rachel as she is watching the boys. Well, as you can see, Rusty didnt waste any time gobbling up her delicious new summer nikes. He absolutely LOVES them and has been enjoying chewing them off her feet all afternoon! Naughty Rusty! Good afternoon all! Simka here with some wonderful news! I guess Carol is in the process of adopticating Rusty! So that means that him, Grizz and Bluedog will be doggy brothers!!! Man, Carol is such an awesome human. From what mommy heard, Rusty was "too much" for his current owners to handle. Hmmph! Well i can guarantee that now he will be in a loving, caring family where he belongs! Although I am not sure how long Rachels delicious new summer nikes will last now when she doggysits, what with 3 big hungry sneaker monsters there!!! Simka

Good evening all! Simka here barking that i know its late, but i wanted to see how everyone was doing and tell everyone about our new friend! Me and Grizz Lee and Bluedog made a new friend this week! He too is a newfoundland but brown instead of black like the Grizz. I introduce to you our new friend Rusty: As you can see, he is also a shoedog like us! We told him about our Aunty Rachel and her yummy new nike sneakers and he CANT WAIT to meet her tomorrow afternoon! Well, good night all and will keep you all updated! Simka

Good afternoon all! Simka with an update: well, apparently Grizz and Bluedog lucked out because Linda from the BBQ stopped by today and the boys got to eat her new nikes again! Mommy and I just heard that Linda can only find one sneaker and it looks like it might rain any second. Yikes! Grizz just may get to keep those new nikes for his secret chewing stash after all . Simka here! Grizz is doing well thanks, and just as naughty as usual . His mommy has been watching what he eats and he has lost a little weight which is helping him get around easier. And he sure could use a little trim around the edges. That thick fur will sure be hot this summer! .

Good morning all! Simka here barking that I could not sleep any longer because I wanted to bark about my awesome day yesterday! Unfortunately it looks like rain today . Well, Grizz Lees mommy Carol had a BBQ that me and mommy and a bunch of friends and family were invited to! Beautiful weather, friends, yummy food, and the delicious smell of bbq and fresh mowed lawn! Well, being the shoe dogs that we are, we sniffed around but only found some new birkenstocks to have a quick nibble on . Well, just when all hope was lost, Carols friend Linda showed up. Well, me and Grizz and Bluedogs sneaker radar went off as soon as she set foot in the backyard: Mmmm, fresh new out of the box nikes!!!!! All that soft chewy white leather made us nutso and we waited until she grabbed a plate of food and sat down before we trapped her and had those new nikes for yummy dessert: Linda said that she forgot about Grizz being naughty about new sneakers but said that she would let it go this time since we were all enjoying them so much. Wow! Linda is an awesome human!!! We had soooo much fun taking turns seeing who could tug them off her feet the quickest. Boy oh boy Grizz Lee is a force to be reckoned with! When we stole them off we would run around the back yard and sneak down to Grizz Lees hiding spot in the woods and give the nikes a good hungry chew. That leather just melts in a naughty doggies mouth!!! Well, things were going so well until Linda had to finally leave. With some other human help, she managed to get her delicious new nikes back from us, Scoop out some of the warm slimy doggy slobber and lace them back on her feet. Grizz Lee REALLY wanted to keep them for his secret chewing stash, but the humans would not let him because of the "metal lace eyelets" or whatever they are, and they were afraid we would hurt our toofers. Hmmph!! We all whined when she left. Oh well, you win some and lose some right? Anyway, hope all you huskies and humans are doing well! Bark Later! Simka

Simka here with an update:. Well, it looks like Rachel may have won the battle but lost the war: When mommy was talking to her on her cell phone, Rachel was marching out of the woods with phone charger in hand, but she was covered in leaves and barefoot! Yay Grizz Lee!!!! Simka

Good afternoon all! Simka here barking that I hope all you humans and huskies are digging the nice weather! Well, apparently Grizz Lee has been up to his usual naughtiness today. See, Cuzzin Rachel is over doggysitting him and Bluedog today. Being the awesome human she is, she made sure to wear her yummy new school nikes over and spoil the boys. She sat at the table using her 'aputer while the boys shimmied under it and enjoyed her new nikes. The smell and taste of that soft squishy leather turned them into big hungry monsters and the snorted and growled while the licked and chewed hungrily. Well, in the process, apparently Grizz managed to grab Rachels phone charger and run out the back door with in and down into the woods. She followed him down trying to find him and her charger: Oh no! I think it is a trap! I think Grizz's plan is to wait until Rachel isn't looking and then push her down in the leaves and steal those chewy delicious new nikes off her feet and keep them in is secret stash in the woods to chew on and enjoy for dessert! I hope he gets them because they look reall yummy!!! Paws crossed!!! Simka
