Sarah2615
This is the hardest thing I’ve ever done but I know it is what I have to do. Our girl husky needs to be rehomed after taking a strong dislike to our older dog. Our older dog has been attacked by her and is a wreck still. She is absolutely hell bent on getting him. She has nothing against our other 2, just him. I’m more concerned that because she is part of a pair (littermates) she or her brother won’t cope with this at all. I don’t even know how to go about rehoming, it’s not something I ever imagined me doing. Any help or advice on this matter would be greatly appreciated. I really don’t want to put her in a shelter, they are currently separated and will remain that way until finding a new home. I have tried contacting 8belowfor advice but have had no response. My main concern is finding her a perfect home where she can be the loving girl she is and have a lot of attention. Many Thanks for reading
wolfpup
Your main problem is that if you advertise her for free - I shudder to think where she will end up (horror stories abound). You really are better surrendering her to a husky shelter as they have the time and ability to check on possible candidates for her. As you know huskies are not for the novice owner. https://siberianhuskywelfare.co.uk/ https://www.sharerescue.org/ https://www.saintssleddogrescue.co.uk/ https://siberianhuskywelfare.co.uk/available-dogs/ https://sibesandsleddogs.org.uk/ These are worth checking out - preferably they have centres near you. You are doing the right thing - I know it is hard - but you have to think of your older dog.
