Rehoming our girl

Recommended Posts

This is the hardest thing I’ve ever done but I know it is what I have to do.

Our girl husky needs to be rehomed after taking a strong dislike to our older dog.

Our older dog has been attacked by her and is a wreck still. She is absolutely hell bent on getting him. She has nothing against our other 2, just him.

I’m more concerned that because she is part of a pair (littermates) she or her brother won’t cope with this at all.

I don’t even know how to go about rehoming, it’s not something I ever imagined me doing.

Any help or advice on this matter would be greatly appreciated. I really don’t want to put her in a shelter, they are currently separated and will remain that way until finding a new home. I have tried contacting 8belowfor advice  but have had no response.

My main concern is finding her a perfect home where she can be the loving girl she is and have a lot of attention.

Many Thanks for reading

Your main problem is that if you advertise her  for free  - I shudder to think where she will end up (horror stories abound).  You really are better surrendering her to a husky shelter  as they have the time and ability to check on possible candidates for her.   As you know huskies are not for the novice owner.

These are worth checking out  -  preferably they have centres near you.

You are doing the right thing  -  I know it is hard  - but you have to think of your older dog.
