Danielle&mist
My 5 month old pup was brilliant for going outside his routine hasn't changed, but he keeps peeing on my partners side of the bed, is he showing dominance? He's a big mummy's boy and is extremely jealous! He doesn't show aggression now but will this become a thing in the future? I've tried everything
Rachael_Astro
I don't think it's dominance, both of mine did it. Mine tended to do it when they were playing around a bit and I think it was just an accident because they were excited and couldn't hold it in! Does he sleep on the bed? If not then maybe do some boundary training and make the bed a no go area. He is still very young and is probably still learning to hold it in, they do stop doing it eventually! Armagare
I had a old dog do that to my mum a while back. She was mean to the poor thing. Even tho he was blind he found her stuff to pee on XDI would kennel them at night or just close the door to the room. Sometimes it's a faze that will passSent from my HTCD100LVW using Husky Owners mobile app
Danielle&mist
He knows it's wrong that's the most frustrating thing!! Do you think he'll grow out of the jealously???
Rachael_Astro
When you say he's jealous what is he doing?Sent from my iPhone using Husky Owners mobile app
BingBlaze n Skyla
He probably doesn't know it's wrong, he's a baby n he is still learning .. He will get there eventually , is the peeing on the bed a new thing? Or has he always done it Sent from my E6653 using Husky Owners mobile app
Emma
I had one who peed on the bed. She'd sniff the bedding first and if it was fresh on she'd pee on it, presumably to put her scent on it and then lie down...sometimes right on top of her pee. She wouldn't do it to older bedding though, only freshly washed ones. It wasn't dominance related at all. Just her natural instinct. Danielle&mist
I've read their pee is a big part of respect, and if me and my partner have a hug or close for a while he'll come between us, he's grunted abit but not loads. When my parter tells him NO! He'll have a bit of a bark back, I honestly think he thinks he's the boss, I've been looking into training classes will it be worth it
Rachael_Astro
Training classes are OK for the basics and socialisation, if there's issues around the home it's better to have a trainer come to you. I don't think he's being jealous, he's probably just testing boundaries Sent from my iPhone using Husky Owners mobile app
