Blue
Just sometimes when I put his lead on he try's to bite, and when we are playing he sometimes try's to bite. Not proper bites but mouthing in my direction If you know what I mean. I know his only playing like pups do. But he does this around my youngest with him being so small and easy for him to reach. Any tips to help stop this ? Thanks in advance once again. :grinning-smiley-
Kaiya
if he starts biting during play, then play time is over. just get up and ignore him. we have had some luck "yelping" loud enough to startle her as well. it's my understanding this is how they would learn in their own pack. yelp, stand up and turn your back to him. Sarah
yelping, or a firm NO and removing the hand / object won't work instantly but he will soon learn
Winks
yelping, ignoring and giving a toy have work for us but not all the time, sometimes you just have to walk away
ohiohusky
we tell her OW! NO! Play nice. If she dose not stop then we stop play and make her sit. She has learned the word careful when she is playing with the children or small dogs. Consistance is the key.
