When I plug in my phone to lappy, it mounts and I can see the files, but it's nto showing the actual pics just the default pic which is below...but ti wont let me preview the pics unless I do it individually which tbh it's taking too long as i have too many on there .....

I've changed to large but still doesn't work...help???!! what am i doing wrong.

I have the s2, when I take it pic it goes directly to my memory card, so, when I mount my phone I get two lots or directories to look in... I go to dcim, then camera then photos or something like that... I can then preview the pics and hold ctrl and push A then paste them to the computer (ctrl V)...

Any more questions ask and I'll try to help :)

yeah thats the same here marc...if you see the pic above the address bar shows you how i get the pics.....same way as you but the thumbnails never come up, only the image above.

You mean the blue sky image?

If that's what you mean then, yeh thats what it's like on mine, there is no way of changing that... All I do is go by the date the image was taken, then I can guess the images I want :)

I've not had much experience with Windows 7 but as I understand it your pc is caching all the thumbnails for quick access later on and the progress of this is shown by the green bar in the address bar, I would say you have 2 options

1 leave it on over night and see if it has made any progress either on the green bar or if the thumbnails are showing up

2 click the red X at the end of the address bar, I believe this will stop the process and might show up any thumbnails already cached

Beyond that I'm not sure, hope this helps and you get this sorted

If Explorer doesn't show thumbnails from external devices there isn't much you can do about it, apart from copying them all over to a folder on your computer and watch them from there.

Maybe there's an setting hidden somewhere that lets it show thumbnails even from mounted locations?

I have the same problem with my HTC spoke to their help line and the answer I got was believe it or not: Just copy them to a folder on your hard drive then you can see them all in thumbnails...well duhhhh I knew that one
