It's about WWII and it follows certain companies and batallions as they go through terrifying battles. The really neat part, is that they have these little documentary snippets at the beginning of each episode (there's 10 episodes in total) with the actual soldiers speaking. I don't know if they're alive anymore, as the series was made in 2001... The special effects are stunningly realistic, the storyline is heartbreaking and tragic, and it reminds us all that we're lucky we live in free countries.
