Kara
We lost our Alice Dec 21st 2010 to health complications. She was 11yrs old and Diabetic, she was diagnosed at age 4 with diabetes. We dedicated ourselves to keeping her healthy and having a good life. Most vets say that they don't last long, but Alice enjoyed a long life. For some reason I miss her a lot today and thought I would post. We have a new husky puppy now of 10months that was born the same day Alice past on......I love my new Puppy Gracie, but am finding that nothing can truly replace my first husky love. I have posted an old pic when she was just a tiny pup with her big brother BuddhaBoy.

Maybe her birth on the day you lost Alice is no coincidence....and in time, you may see traits of Alice in Gracie! I don't believe in coincidence, it all happens for a reason....welcome again! Kara
Maybe her birth on the day you lost Alice is no coincidence....and in time, you may see traits of Alice in Gracie! I don't believe in coincidence, it all happens for a reason....welcome again! I truly believe that its no coincidence at all, Gracie was meant to fill our hearts, and we picked the one that came to us in hopes that it was meant to be. Even if there are no traits of Alice in Gracie, I think the "opposite" traits are only meant to give me the full range of experience and life lessons that a husky gives to us. Each dog came to me at complete opposite times in my life yet both times are considered a new starting point in life, and each have proven already that they are teaching me new things. We had to learn a lot to care for Alice's Diabetes, and had to change our lifestyle of living, and now with the puppy, she has been teaching us new things like 105 degree temp with a lung infection and spliting her eye open in one of her crazy husky wild running fits. Life's a journey!
