But is there a way to controle there laptop but off mine. I'm using windows 7; I know about windows remote assist. But they use vista (or they think they do anyway...) Rich & Kody Posted April 5, 2011 Report Share Posted April 5, 2011 Download a program called teamviewer thee is a free version. He needs it too. Then start it up 1 person has to be the host and one the client. I think the host is the pc that you take over. Once you start it you need the I'd and pass code displayed on the hosts client. You can then connect and have full control of his pc. But he can't move the mouse or use the keyboard while you have control.
