New Rule!!

Hi All,

As I'm sure you've noticed the site is now getting bigger in size with more members joining every day. At over 11,000 posts every month you can appreciate this can be relativly difficult to moderate at times and problems can (and generally do) arise on the forum. The rule we are imposing on the site this time is not one that we have made the decision on lightly, however its something we feel that we have to do for the good of the site, and do so now before it becomes more of an issue.

As you know we have many good and legitimate welfare organisations post on our site, and personally I would like to thank them for the work that they do. Unfortunatly with their success also comes the copycats who are not out there with good intentions but simply to make a profit. Now we do not feel that it is appropriate for us to be picking and choosing between which can stay and which can go, quite simply as it can be quite time consuming researching whether people are legitimate and even then we could potentially get it wrong. Therefore rather than putting down good websites on the forum, or potentially allowing bad ones we have decided to add the following to our rules:

9.01 - The advertising of any animals for sale, whether directly or indirectly is strictly prohibited. This includes donations, recooping of costs etc toward the obtaining of an animal in any way shape or form. This is to protect husky-owners and its associated sites from potential puppy farming as unfortunatly not everyone does this legitimatly. Appologies to any legitimate organisations however this is the policy of our site.

Please note this does not stop anyone from saying "Have a look for ***** who may be able to help you with rehoming" etc on the forums. Simply do not post links advertising the sites.

Thankyou for taking the time to read this. Any links found in signatures or otherwise from now will be removed by a member of staff as appropriate.

Regards,

Husky Owners Staff
