maggie84
We got a husky puppy about 2 months ago, she's almost 5 months old now. She's fine with myself and my partner, but we have friends living with us and she won't go near them (seems scared of them)They're male and quite tall so don't know if this makes a difference and they've tried to get friendly with her but she runs off and then comes back in a barking fits at them!!! Only with men though. Is there anything we can do or does anyone know why this happens??? Please help
ohhsweetness
my husky dislikes my cousins boyfriend .... if he stares at her to long in the eyes she goes barking mad at him and just goes off but doesnt hurt him maybe if they dont stare at her just let her warm up to them maybe ?? Aurelia
Is it with all men, or just those friends staying with you? If it's all men then it could be a smell she's picking up on that she just doesn't like. I'm not entirely sure what you can do about that though. If it's because they're tall then try to get your friends kneeling down a lot when she's near them so that she doesn't feel threatened, over time they could maybe start standing up a bit more when she's more used to them? maggie84
Thanks I'll get them to try that, it seems to only be with the guys who live here, but she's been pretty good today though, she had her first swim in the pool so she's been playing in it with the guys, so we'll just have to be patient. Thanks again.
